A lot will be changed other than the kernel.

Just tried flashing mine and its stuck on the first LG screen with the progress bar. It runs for like a few seconds and then just sticks there.

So I think it may not be working :P, and is there a new RIL for this baseband?

Mind you I am running stock

Ok something is really really messed up with that baseband, mine kept sticking on the first LG screen when I had flashed the new one, reflashing the old one caused the same effect >_<

Is there some command to see what RIL you have on your particular device?

and i found bug in SMS. i cannot send SMS. every Failed. even my SMS Setting is DONE.

And when i dial *123# is Force Close.

same problem for me (wind italy), *123# don't work with new baseband and FR17.

Grrr finaly same problem as you on same provider.....can't hear messages on voicemail, will try a call later :P
