Guest arunshen Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Paul needs to take a look at this, a number of i9023 users have this problem, check out post #331 in the MCR thread EDIT: BTW: you'll need to restore the factory ROM backup, hope you did one before flashing? I don't think anyone has found a way, hopefully the impending MCR update to 2.3.4 will solve the problem.
Guest arun_jaetty Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 I think, the black screen is not really a problem. it is there to save the power consumption. on the left hand top side of the device, a button is there. If you click on it, the original screen would come back. Thanks, Arun. I don't think anyone has found a way, hopefully the impending MCR update to 2.3.4 will solve the problem.

Or, are you referring to either the hardware power or volume control buttons?
Guest NEXUSFUCKINGONEBITCH Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 You underclocked it too much. Causes it to toast after going to sleep. SetCPU profiles.
Guest arun_jaetty Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Hi, No, the button is not on the screen. I'm referring the one placed on the right-side of the mobile, similar to volume control. Regards, Aun. Interesting, can you be more specific about the button? Is it on the screen? If so, how do you see it to press it? Guest arunshen Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hi, No, the button is not on the screen. I'm referring the one placed on the right-side of the mobile, similar to volume control. Regards, Aun. Thanks Arun - although I'm not sure you understand the issue correctly. The 'black screen after sleep' occurs when the power button is pressed to wake the phone from its sleep state. The soft keys light up, but the screen remains black. Hence, 'black screen after sleep'. And it's worth mentioning that people capable of unlocking and flashing ROMs probably know where the power button on the phone is ;-)
Guest arunshen Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 You underclocked it too much. Causes it to toast after going to sleep. SetCPU profiles. this sounds much more plausible, is your comment based on experience? If so, what did you do specifically to SetCPU profiles?
Guest akkubhai Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I too have the same problem with my Galaxy Nexus from day one. The phone restarts if i let it to a sleeps status. The battery is draining very fast when i play games or listen to some music. i guess doing this does not have much pressure on the battery. but its restarts if i wanna change the song. i discovered it when the morning alarm did not ring. I have tried to reboot and update the OS but there is no response. Any help for my issues ?
