copying software to the SPV

when i try to copy files manually to the SPV, like waterman.exe, smartnes.exe etc:

when i try and run the shortcut (or the file itself via all-explorer) it says that its not acompatible WINCE application

Some apps come as installers so they should be run on the PC and it'll install it on the phone.

Some come in .cab files which contain install information and need to be run on the phone. On windows .cab files look like zip folders and can be opened like a normal folder. Don't open them. Just copy the .cab file to the spv use it to open it. It'll install it on the phone.

Some files are smartphone apps and the .exe should be run directly.

Waterman.exe is one of these and should work. Check that you didn't download the wrong version.
