Guest Jack B Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Is there af Wifi HotSpot issue? I tried the RC19 Beta 1, and RC1, and my laptop can't connect to internet, it says in tray "AndroidAP"/Internetconnection, but still can't connect. When i try my FR18 latest beta, it works superb.
Guest maini85 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 My battery life has dropped significantly in Fr19RC1, 15% in a few hours doing pretty much nothing. Spare Parts confirms the doing nothing though, I don't see any application actually using anything there (no partial wake whatsoever for example), so I suppose it's a calibration issue.. Just wiped battery stats, let's see what happens. I also have enormous battery drain on Fr19RC1... would be interested if you batstat wipe helps. Last night the phone went down to 14% from around 60% in flightmode!
Guest Squide Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) possible bug.. the system date is 24 Jun 2011 while the nandroid backup folder named 240711-xxx checked the backup folder name was correct in Fr18 I'm using the same CWM in both version of MCR. Edited June 23, 2011 by Squide
Guest zarras Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Can we use this --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137218 to convert to EXT4? :)
Guest Shadman2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 I'm guessing as Benee generally does work for CM that it might only be CM based as CM7 runs on EXT3 too... correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure there will be someone to do that lol)
Guest zarras Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 u r right, as benee said "No because the kernel is missing ext4 module support. This zip doesn't touch the kernel." :)

Have the same problem with CWM Date... but I use now the 3.2.0.0. Also my battery life is not so good. It was better on Fr18.. ???

Guest Artemon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Are you experiencing crappy video streaming and youtube? If I watch a video in youtube (via WiFi) it craps and lags. This is not because of the internet speed, the download status is ok, but the video is crapping :-(
Guest Higgsy Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 I'm getting over double the battery life on rc1 with 0606 RIL and 1406 baseband. put it on charge last night with 36% left after 60 hours up time.
Guest Peterfdevries Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Found it on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137032 Hope that helps ;-) eumel That RIL is fake. I installed it yesterday using CMW. During the install it say it's the '606 RIL'. Anyone else noticed that? (I'm working with the 614 baseband, so that can't make the confusion)
Guest Paul Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Yeah I was confused, hmmm I wonder if the gingerbread update will be called v11a or something Gingerbread is v20. P
Guest isakk Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 putting the check in "Disable Music Controls" also disables the Toggle Buttons
Guest abwyatt Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 (edited) Don't know why some of you have problems with battery and some other stuff... FR19 RC1 works perfect for me. After 1 day and 8 hours on battery I have still 35% left. And I've used the phone quite a lot: GPS 1h 45min (screen off), voice calls 40min, 20 - 30 messages, WiFi or 3G always on, Sync usually off... I've been using browser, tapatalk and some other network related apps for a few minutes too... Really can't ask for more. Maybe your have problems because of some application. Yep, ditto here with RC1 ... best battery performance I have EVER had since buying this phone in April! Good work Paul! Edited June 24, 2011 by abwyatt
Guest N0r0 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Yep, ditto here with RC1 ... best battery performance I have EVER had since buying this phone in April! Good work Paul! absoluly agree! :> using my phone for about 20hours (2h calls, 30 min wifi using, 4h data connection turned on) and 63 % left, just amazing in comparison to stock rom :) kind regards N0r0
Guest Peterfdevries Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Looking into that new RIL... P Any news on that RIL Paul?
Guest francarl77 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 absoluly agree! :> using my phone for about 20hours (2h calls, 30 min wifi using, 4h data connection turned on) and 63 % left, just amazing in comparison to stock rom :) kind regards N0r0 please, which baseband?
Guest N0r0 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 please, which baseband? 606 with appropriate RIL :>
Guest platoonSLO Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 paul, what is going on with new kernel sources? Are they out yet or not?
Guest abwyatt Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 606 with appropriate RIL :> I am using 614 so I think the battery life improvements are more to do with the battery tweaks that Paul has implemented.
Guest MrMastodon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 (edited) Hrmf... Fake baseband... Edited June 24, 2011 by MrMastodon
Guest platoonSLO Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 new baseband 0622: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...mp;postcount=53
