Guest the1c3man Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Just a quick review for BB 0622 on stock v10d rom, its not great had alot of heat when charging and locks, plus had a few text messages failed to said, so going back to 0614 BB which is great for me.
Guest Paul Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 That's the old kernel... LG's naming is f*cked up! :) P
Guest thedicemaster Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Paul: seems you missed my last message. how hard would it be to add proper bluetooth HID support? (keyboard/mouse) with the phone's HDMI-out capabilities this could be very useful. and: could you perhaps in a future update of mcr add an option in the kitchen to lower the 15% battery warning to 5%? this is quite a premature warning, especially for people with an extended battery who can still last an entire day with that much power left. (15% of an extended battery would be about the same amount of power remaining as a stock battery on 45%)
Guest PAQman Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Paul: seems you missed my last message. the stock 10d isn't newer than the 10c. Take a look at the date. The version numbers from LG are confusing. I've tested many roms for my o2x. but the stock 10c from 22.06.2011 with the 622 baseband is absolutly the best so far. I've removed some of the needles LG stuff (Widgets, Antivirus etc) and exchanged the Launcher and the MMS app. It is not laggy until now and it is running for five days now without any reboot.

Guest baztardo Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) I just can confirm this. The rom is stable and battery life is better than with all roms before (including FR19 RC1) Edited June 28, 2011 by baztardo
Guest thedicemaster Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Where did you get a 4500mAh battery? http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/lg/lg...mobile-g2x.html not cheap though.
Guest MeX_DK Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/lg/lg...mobile-g2x.html not cheap though. Way too big for me :)
Guest aaww Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/lg/lg...mobile-g2x.html not cheap though. that is huge hahahha :) It is way too big for this phone and makes it ugly.
Guest MeX_DK Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 that is huge hahahha :) It is way too big for this phone and makes it ugly. Gonna be bound to rattle a lot with that huge void in the "middle" as well as have an awful balance.
Guest netz Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 i reverted back to EX3 for this rom. If i want to flash bb0622 + fr19rc1, do i need to go back to EX4?
Guest Elte Hupkes Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I can now pretty much confirm that my awful battery life was caused by the baseband. After moving to Fr19RC1 I was running 0622 initially, I then downgraded to 0614 which didn't make much of a difference; now I'm on 0606 and although it's not as good as it was I can now at least get about 24hrs out of it with some usage. I've grown tired of wiping so I'm gonna stick with this for a while, maybe a newer baseband will work for me later.
Guest crazy_elmo Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Open Source Code for 10C can be downloaded at LG. LGP990(Star DOP) Android Froyo P990V10C http://www.lg.com/global/support/opensourc...urce-detail.jsp Is the software needed for you Paul??

Guest unfun Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 ot but one can get much cheaper 4500mah batteries than the mugen power thing, not sure about quality, but try searching for "p990 4500" on ebay. i wanted one but the backcovers all look cheap and most of them do not have a glass cover in front of the camera, so i ordered two 1800mah batteries for 10 euros, i will report my findings with them once they arrived
Guest CedTheBest Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Hi, I was on FR19RC1 BB0606 since its release and was very dispapointed by the huge battery consumption : autonomy of a half-day with my use (warm device in iddle) I'm now on 10C (BB + RIL 0622) for 3 days and it's day and night : only one charge after 2 days and equivalent smoothness to Paul's rom. @Paul : you MUST have a look at this combo ... ;-) Regards,
Guest Paul Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 So it sounds like the '10C update' was simply the updated RIL and BB (0622). Is anyone running this combination on RC1? I'll add them to the kitchen for RC2 shortly... P
Guest Paul Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 OK, i've totally diff'd the 'new 10C ROM' so I can merge the changes into FR19... P
Guest gin0v4 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 hey paul, can u take a look at this? http://android.modaco.com/content-page/336...0/#entry1745874
Guest Paul Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 hey paul, can u take a look at this? http://android.modaco.com/content-page/336...0/#entry1745874 I'll update the performance pack once i'm done with the ROM. P
Guest Paul Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Oh, this is interesting! I think i've found where LG are making changes that could potentially include battery life - it's in the same area i've been patching as part of my 'battery fix'! P
Guest Paul Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 RC2 will be up soon with a full 0622 merge. P
