no one has reported that it's rough on the battery, works nice :D

It doesn't work nicely with the native notification system though does it? I believe it checks do notifications on a schedule....

1 - Don't quote the entire kitchen, that post is HUGE!

2 - Check the options you want, then click the oven, wait a few seconds and your download should start.

3 - If you can't see the options, take a screenshot and post it here :D

For starts: Sorry for quoting the kitchen!

The explanation for this is my actual problem.

I do NOT see the kitchen at all! It does not show in post #2, or in my quote for that matter.

I'm a paying member, and would like to have some guidance to see the kitchen, or maybe a direct link.

There is a difference between paying and donating :D

<EDIT>:

forgot to ask you if you can see an empty post or post 2 seems to be short and empty ?

can you describe how it looks like ?

<EDIT>

try this out.

1) Logout

2) clear all cookies and Temp Internet files

3) go to www.modaco.com and login there

4) click on Android in the menu (top right corner) and find the LG x2 device.

Now it should work.

Good luck.

1: I paid £9.99 with access to online kitchen.

2: Post 2 contains the short text: "There may be a short wait while the load balancing software determines the best kitchen to serve your ROM. The kitchen should appear below within 20 seconds."

The rest is just a short, blank post - like an empty frame or cell.

3: Tried your tip - no luck B)

I have a similar issue with fr8 and fr9: both are sometimes giving the warning that network is unavailable. FR7 never gave that problem.

BTW. Paul: the wireless network problem is fixed with FR8: i can use 802.x with PAP again :D.

Do you have Java installed?

What kind of Anti Virus are you running?

Some routers can be configured to block scripts (which is insane) - could that be it?

  • Optional Gingerbread Vanilla theme

I didn't mean to be rude, i apologize .

That is a bit strange.

Do you use any kind of Internet Security tools or ad blocking utilities Such as Kasparsky Internet security, Norton 360 (Spybot AdAware...)and so on ?

If you your problem might be just there, disable them and see if you are getting the kitchen.

If the problem isnt with your computer but your ISP(Internet service provider) you can try this tool http://www.ultrareach.net/download_en.htm to bypass thir security.

Let me know if it helps, Now i am curious about what is going on.

this is the first time ever in my life i try to use a custom rom.

rooted, installed CWM andy finally cooked a custom rom but can NOT install it.

i get : "installation error" when I try to open zip in cwm from sd card :s

I tried alot..cooked even a few times a new rom and replaced.

just followed the installation stes but what do you exactly mean with performing a nandroid backup in menu? how to do that exactly? i just used titanium backup...just backed up files one by one.

maybe I deleted the backup. where can I see the backup is save? pfff... i don't even know if this al sumting to do with my issue :s

Like I said this is just the first time... i think i really need help. Paid...to use a custom rom but can't even install it..

Way ahead of you - quoted the kitchen post, changed FR8 to FR10 and hit preview - then I cooked my rom from the preview of the quote of your post B)

Modaco inception - A rom within a rom within a rom.

Did a full wipe and install of fr10 with same options as fr8 and now my sd card doesn't show up in the phone. Works fine if I use a card reader on my pc.

Nandroid backup is a backup of the system, in case something goes wrong you can revert it.

Titanium backups your apps and data.

In CWM:

Nandroid:

-backup and restore -> Backup

Go back to main menu (You can skip this step later when upgrading from frx->frx+1, if not specified that wipe is required)

-Wipe data/factory reset

-Wipe Cache

-Install zip from sdcard (NOT apply update from sdcard)

-Choose zip from sdcard

-Choose your baked zip :D

Just backed my Fr10 ROM (2.6.32.4-mck.r4).

First problem seen so far is that the clock on the top bar is completely black or is not there! I can't know!

You baked the vanilla battery mod in with the stock style?
