i'm totally new to android and even to smartphones so maybe this question seems a little bit silly...

i love tweaking my lg and personalized it very much till now. of course i also installed the modadco kitchen rom. the question now is, how can i get back to my personalized phone when i update to fr10 the best way?

i secured my apps in titanium...

is there an easy way to get back to the status of customization i had before?

how do you do it?

What kind of customizations are you talking about ?

can you be more specific ?

i just don't know what happens to my phone when i update the rom... will it be back to factory settings? do i have to reinstall all downloaded apps? do i have to reconfigure my e-mail accounts, etc...? does my homescreen look the same afterwards (widgets, apps, etc.)

or stays everything the same and my phone gets just faster and better?

i simply would try out because i really want the best and fastest rom i could get, but i would apreciate if somebody would tell me his or her way of updating the phone with any kind of data on it...

thx for answers...

If you are coming from official rom, you will have to do full wipe in order to flash this rom. So you will be back to factory default settings.

Only if you preform a Wipe your phone will be restarted to factory defaults plus the T-Backup can backup setings for apps as well, check out the FAQ of this app.

If you go from stock rom than you have to do a full wipe of everything (no a big problem if you have the T-Backup)...

Hope it helped.

ok - this would mean that i need not wipe the phone (because i already installed an earlier version of the modaco rom), can choose update in recoverymod and everything's fine?

would love it if it's that uncomplicated and my phone with all screens etc. just looks the same, but runs more stable or faster etc...

TitaniumBackup can backup all of the settings and such from the phone. That way you should be able to retain your settings even if you change rom etc. But whether it is possible to import all the settings correctly I however do not know.

Hmmm Im still experiencing lags in the lockscreen. When I press the power button, I got a brief look of my homescreen before the lockscreen comes on. Is there anyway to fix this bug?

Posted

I don't see that (stock lockscreen)? Are you using the LG lockscreen?

Hello.

Is it possible to include the last version of Flash player (10.2) and Google Maps (5.3.0) in future updates ?

Happens to me now and then as well. Stock lockscreen. On Fr10 it has happened once since I did a full wipe around a day ago.

Very nice rom, extremely fast indeed. Still waiting to see about battery draining.

Anyway, just one strange thing: if I install something from the market, whenever it ends downloading and starts telling "installing" on the notification bar, the phone locks up just the time needed to install it, then it continues working smoothly. Having previously v10a stock rom, never experienced such a lock up during installation! Anyone else has such a behavior?

Thanks :)

Hi Paul...

yesterday i flash your last release, and i tryed your last kernel...

I think the new kernel, 2.6.32.36, is not very good like the old kernel, because with the 2.6.32.36 kernel i get micro lag, and is not very smooth like the other kernel, and sometimes i pull out the battery for freeze, now i flash back the 2.32.9 and the phone is great... maybe the new kernel need some optimizations or i dont know what... :)

What do you think about that?

Anyway, really thanks for your work, you are great and by you start all for our mobile.. :)

thanks

Hi!

First of all, thanks for great support and Custom ROM for LGO2X!

Dont know if there has been posted the same problems before but here are mine:

-After installing the custom ROM, Android Marked wont start any downloads... Tried several times with different settings, but still the same; stuck in "Starting download..."

-My second problem comes to installing WAP/MMS settings from my network provider, when I get an SMS with the settings included and try to install them the following error pops up: "process com.lge.wapservice has stopped working"...

Hope someone can help me, so I dont have to revert to stock ROM :)

Hi Paul

Excellent job!! :) Now I am happy to have the LG O2X. Finally it is working without those irritating glitches and the battery life is much better now. Thanks!! You should send an invoice to LG for fixing their mess. :)

After 2 hours since unplugged

Cell Standby: Around 30%

Phone Idle: Around 15%

Before

After 2 hours since unplugged

Cell Standby: Around 48%

Phone Idle: Around 38%

On small thing I noticed, on installing new apps, the UI was getting locked during and a few sec after the installation, now it still does but only for the second it takes to install then it unlocks. I wonder if it is a resource allocation problem from LG software, dual core shouldn't lock the phone UI because of a background installation. Your latest release has greatly improved that issue though, thanks again.

Well, then I'm not alone! As I wrote, I have the same problem while installing apps.

What it's strange is that i've never experienced such a problem with stock rom! :)

Just another small issue: it seems like autorotation in browser it's a little bit too slow in understanding I'vebrotatedbthe phone! Anyone else!?

I can see these issues too but otherwise the phone is fast.

If you deselect the LG Email app, at the end of the setup wizard it FCs because its trying to launch a LG Email Activity

E/AndroidRuntime( 4495): java.lang.RuntimeException: Failure delivering result ResultInfo{who=null, request=990, result=-1, data=Intent { (has extras) }} to activity {com.android.s

I have seen the problem today after a Wipe and new rom combo, i like the standard Email better than LG's.
