@ Aricci: use titanium backup to save all your apps, highscores, settings etc, i did a video toturial about it right here:

its german but if u watch it u will understand it, just follow all my steps shown in the video :)

i also made a video on how to remove all the crapware, how to install pauls rom and some videos about the display bleeding :)

I am able to replicate the problem on stock rom (10a)

I don't have a backup of stock .9 dirty kernel. Possible to post the .9 dirty kernel in an update.zip so that I test out?

However, the biggest problem is that I can't revert to stock baseband.

I am a huge fan of you paul but your rom does block ads, just look at the hosts file:

I'm not too bothered by the ad blocking but at the very least be honest about it when people complain.

as for the person having problems with ads being blocked you can fix that by removing the hosts file that is located in /etc, you will need root explorer or something similar to delete it though

what do u mean, i didnt update, i just wiped again and installed the new rom :) then i reinstalled titanium backup and restored all my files abd cfg etc - it even restored my individual applicatin settings, widget settings etc :)

I have baked my own rom b4. The FR10.

now i want to update to FR11. Do i need to delete and wipe evereything than install fr11(from kitchen) or can i just update without losing my apps ?

if yes, what are the steps to do that exactly?

I checked this out, but I find FR11 performs better than the eternity kernel.

Quadrant, and neocore both score higher on fr11 for me at stock speed.

Not much in it, but consistently better.

It is only when I overclock , that I can score more, but of course FR11 doesnt support overclock.

As for the Ad thing someone mentioned. Why is it a problem if they are removed.?

I, for one, am grateful for it.

I think it makes sense for the end user to install from the Eternity download (ensures latest version!)

Huh, that's weird, I didn't put that there delibaretly... I must have been testing AdFree app functionality and it crept in a dump file!


That will definitely be removed for Fr12! :)

True actually, just checked my Fr11 baked rom source files. Since Fr1 alpha actually... just checked... :)

It should be user choice and it's harder to revert than it is to block so it's the best option.

Hi , i have problem when I have finished to install the Rom, then i reboot and my phone is in constant reboot :/

Have someone the same problem ? :s

Lg 2x from stock rom and i tried to install Fr11 with CWM

well in addition to the political/moral issues there is actually certain apps which will stop you from using them if you are blocking ads.

so in those cases ad blocking can actually be pretty problematic.

Hi Paul, would you be able to address this problem?

I actually got those problems too... Radio gets disconnected and gets brought up automatically after a few seconds. Flashed to the latest baseband available at the board, so far, and I'm using FR11.

Confused - installed this latest ROM, but I've still got LG guff installed like Facebook for LG. I'd really like to remove all that, but it doesn't even show up in th Manage Apps list :/

Delete SNS, then you get rid of Facebook, Twitter and Myspace for LG
