Guest Caracal Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Yes, as you point out, I use Juice defender, but after I got rid og Car Home, the problems magically disappaired... With magically disappaired I mean that the phone has not rebooted, and the lockscreen bug has not appeared yet... Coincidence? I think not... So maybe Juice Defender is not guilty? I vote for the SD-theory... What about is the SD-Card Theory ? That if i get the SD-Card off the phone there are no reboots anymore ? What is the explanaition for that theory ? I can only say that at my LG 2x disableing Juice Defender has worked for the moment. But tomorrow i can test to enable it and get the sd card off for a couple of hours.

However, see my previous post, just got a reboot (and another one 1 minute ago) without the external SD card. I'm going back to FR10 ftm

Remove them and you should be fine. If not, Backup your apps and info. do a full wipe and re flash. Good luck.

Good luck. I do have both yes, but not in 'active use'... will remove them, just did a full wipe (also dalvik and cache) and reflashed FR12... Let's just see what happens... Never had this with stock nor FR10 though...

Guest planeth Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Noticed 1 problem, that i forgot to mention in my earlier post: Whenever i install/update something on market, it installs/updates just fine, but in the market app, it keeps saying installing + the same updates often come several times as new updates. I have to kill market to make it stop saying installing... And for the continous "updates", i just have to keep updating, till it eventually accepts that I have the latest update. This started when I upgraded to FR12. Time + date is correct on my device. Any ideas?
Guest ParaTr00per Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Hello! is there any way to auto load on boot cifs.ko module? if i try to mount cifs share, i get: # mount -t cifs -o username=USER,password=PASSWORD //192.168.0.10/share /sdcard/mnt/data mount -t cifs -o username=USER,password=PASSWORD //192.168.0.10/share /sdcard/mnt/data mount: No such device [/codebox] after manual cifs.ko loading, mounting works: [codebox]# insmod /system/lib/modules/cifs.ko insmod /system/lib/modules/cifs.ko # mount -t cifs -o username=USER,password=PASSWORD //192.168.0.10/share /sdcard/mnt/data mount -t cifs -o username=USER,password=PASSWORD //192.168.0.10/share /sdcard/mnt/data ls /sdcard/mnt/data FOLDER1 FOLDER2 FOLDER3 FOLDER4 #

Guest aaww Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 I have found a problem in the LG EMAIL app. No matter what, after configuring the account it cant connect. the error is "No network is available. please try again later". The WiFi and 3g is on. gmail market and the browser are working. I tried ti play with the WiFi and 3g keep only one open but nothing helps. is there any solution for this is should i use google's email instead ?
Guest Squide Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 try to switch to english see if it works. already tried but no luck. I guess the LG mms.apk is design to mate with LG's SMS. I got only stock android SMS app. after i hit send mms, the sms app only show blank.

Just re bake another rom - Unmark MMS (SMS) installed to /system partition This option includes the Google MMS / SMS application, which REPLACES the LG version if selected. This will install fully the LG SMS/MMS app. then you should be fine.

I have the same problem and as I posted a couple pages back, the issue might be provider or SIM card dependant. I've tested this using two different SIM cards from two different providers. On one, MMS can not be sent (while receiving and internet works fine) and on the other everything works. APN information are correct, language is also set to English. For the note, I have the LG SMS/MMS app, so that didn't make a difference, unfortunately.
Guest aaww Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) Guys i have checked LG's site and the LGMobile update. It seems like there is an update available (i am on Modaco custom Fr10 that is 10a in the update software). Do you know what is it all about ? That is not the Android 2.3 right ? Edit: Country was set to UK. Now i tested in Sweden as well. "New mobile phone software is available Please update your software. If not connected, connect the device now to start update. If the update is done later, connect the device at that time." and i cant seem to find any information from LG's website. What is this update ? Edited April 19, 2011 by aaww

That update just updates the baseband and a few other things. I cant update to it despite my phone says V10a but the software claims im at V 10b
Guest emdeed Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Have you upgraded the phone & roll back to v10a via a nandroid restore ? Because it happens the same thing to my 2X, upgraded via le LG app and restored to V10a via nandroid. I can't upgrade to 10B anymore via the LG app, it says i'm allready in v10b.

The only things I have been doing is rooting it, upgraded the baseband twice, and added the deoptx patch from Paul. My phone reports its a V10a, but is detected as a V10b

Guest netz Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) anyway to add the option of using GT540's "contact list" or original O2X's "contact list" for the next rom?? just because i would like to add and link my contact to their facebook manually - so it shows the nick name on my contact list and their FB status. i want the enter 'social network IDs" option when i'm adding or editing a contact or if there is an alternative way, please let me know. thanks!
