Got the same problem since I went from f12 to f14. I've also been experiencing major lag when browsing (stock browser), and a couple of freezes the past 2 days. Overall the phone also feels slower than before, and I got the feeling that it's the rom, but Im not sure.

Changes from f12bake and f14 bake :

Only google calendar, previously had both

Only latinime and gingerbread keyboard. Had all before.

No vanilla themes

No Google music app, only LG

No LG email app, only Google

Thanks, I flashed Fr13 and Wi-fi hotspot works fine now. I'm guessing something important changed in the kernel as that is where the largest changes are in Fr14. Fr14 was really great, but the battery not updating made me go back.

I can't remember, but was the battery not updating fixed in the kitchen?

did anybody try the Battery indicator fix of Fr14 ?

http://www.mediafire.com/?4m3q6xeygl7v7q3

this is not the major problem on Fr14, the kernel is unstable but i would like to know if the battery fix is working.

Thanks

I baked a new Fr14 today and so far the battery meter is working.

I have tested CM7 nightly build and it was grate, very snappy but crashes often, didnt have time to test anything else. right now I am back to Fr12.

I will test more and maybe start a new thread later if i will have allot of diffrent kernels to test but it all seems to be a bit pointless since in a month or so we will have Gingerbread and Paul did a wonderful job with his Custom kernels so far, just wait for the next release tomorrow or the day after it will be stable.

What about FR13?

I've been using fr13 for days without problems. For me it has been solid and fast.

To Paul.

I've been toying around with CM7, and it has lots and lots of things to like, among them supersmooth homescreen animations (and previews), a working Norwegian translation and - very important for me personally - the opportunity to set up multiple exchange accounts (with push-mail actually working, deleting and moving mail fully functional, none of those worked on 2.2 - at least not with a Z-Push backend.) Then there are of course things not to like, as no 3D album-art music player, the missing LG camera app etc. Never thought I'd say this but I actually quite liked some of the LG apps.

A little thing that's been bugging me about all stock and MCRs is that both Launcher Pro and ADW.Launcher get choppy when showing the screen previews (after a while.) It turns out that CM7 has exposed a setting which reproduced that exact behaviour. In CM7 it's called "Allow purging of assets" and is unchecked by default. Checking it and rebooting leads to the same choppy screen-preview animations.

Since the setting requires a reboot to activate I assume it's an actual android system-setting. I don't know if it's specific to Gingerbread or CM7, but if it's actually present in Froyo as well, then there you have an easy performance "patch".

Looking forward to FR15.

I cant wait for a finished smooth performance.

It is so sad to see that a Dual core CPU with a fairly powerful GPU cant get you there on Froyo.

What also upsets me a little bit is the 2D graphics.

Have any one noticed that in various benchmark apps all you get is around 19 fps ?!

that is messed up but i guess it is NVIDIA's fault.

Does any one know anything about a tweaked driver or something ?
