Guest strykerouge Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 The download link is for FR12? Not FR15?
Guest MrMastodon Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I've had a quick fiddle with the FR15, and first impression is GOOD! Overall UX is very nice! While updating 5 apps at the same time there was only short lags of ~1 sec top. So, yeah, this is your masterpiece so far!
Guest fightspv Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 The download link is for FR12? Not FR15? Yeah still waiting for prebake version, and also vanilla one

Guest cl2eep Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 So, I've read in a couple places that the O2X Roms work on the G2X, but I tried baking a build and once I flashed it, I just got a boot loop. Did I just get a bad bake, or is this Rom not compatible?
Guest Clone519 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Woah I guess this new update must be really good xD Hmmm whats the quadrant advanced benchmark you guys get with FR15 rom?

Did I just get a bad bake, or is this Rom not compatible? the 2 ROM's are different. that's why both Paul and Cyanogen are making separate ROM's for both models.

Guest johnnydj Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Call me stupid, but where's the G2X section? I haven't seen a thread nor section specifically for the G2X don't think Paul has a separate G2X thread/ROM not sure about him, but Cyanogen have separate ROM's for G2X and O2X They also clearly say to not try to flash O2X ROM on the G2X and the other way. so I don't think Paul's ROM would work on G2X not sure tho. Yeah, I've read a little more and I guess the system partitions are different. At first, Paul was saying the Roms would work but not the basebands, but I guess everyone found out later that they didnt work. Sucks, because this seemed really cool and CM7 is still a bit buggy.
Guest conceptics Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Paul, Thanks for FR15 - I'm really happy with it so far. There's still one bug that's particular annoying and I'm hoping you may have some insight on how to solve it: I still can't send MMS. Receiving MMS works flawless, internet over Edge, 3G and H as well. APN values by default are correct accoarding to my provider (Sunrise / Switzerland). The tricky thing is: If I insert a Swisscom SIM card, MMS sending and receiving works. I have tested the Sunrise SIM card in multiple other phones and on a stock Android phone and sending MMS by default works there. Any ideas? If there is anything I can provide you with to reconstruct the problem, I'd be happy to. Just point me in the direction on how to obtain debug information or anything that would help solve this problem. For the record, this has been not working at least since FR11. Thanks!
Guest Atomicman Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Fast and lagfree ROM so far, but i had - one restart over night - very high battery drain
Guest ascito Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Fast and lagfree ROM so far, but i had - one restart over night - very high battery drain I can confirm about battery drain.
Guest MrMastodon Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Did a complete wipe, including batt.stat, can not really say anything about battery drain after a couple of charge-cycles...
Guest HMB Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Have had around three restarts this morning, switching back to FR14. Edited May 4, 2011 by HMB
Guest chong01 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Hi Paul, I noticed in Fr15, gps.conf is set to: NTP_SERVER=north-america.pool.ntp.org How about using a the more universal "pool.ntp.org", rather than one targeted at those staying in North America?

Hmmm you can download the app 'fasterfix' to change your GPS region
