I just had played with the SGS 2.

Except for a bigger and sharper screen I didn't like anything about it.

It is laggy after just a few minutes of surfing.

I have the chance to change but I am not going to.

FR15 is the first mod i have installed since i bought the LG Optimus and i am very happy with it. Haven't encountered a problem or reboot so far and i got rid of all the LG junk that came along. Happy to sponsor good work!

Hey Paul, was just configuring around with my baked FR15 from your kitchen and I have again the problem with the widgets.

I wanted to add the engadget widget to the launcher screen - I taped on add widget and it took 90 seconds until I was able to see the widget - after 60 seconds I saw the list but it took still 30 seconds until it was usable.

It is a very strange behavior.

Is there a fix for that ? Are you also allready working on gingerbread ? I am cominf grom nexus one and gingerbread is a big step forward.

Regrads

Marcus

That happens to me (and others of course) since I got my phone, all LG roms. Sucks. Like Manage Apps...

Hello, I use Linux exclusively, but my father has Windows and after I flashed his O2X, his LG PC Suite stopped working. He can no longer use the phone as a modem, etc.

It's a biggie, really. I never noticed anybody mentioning this can happen.

What's the best way to fix this ASAP?

Thanks

Hi folks,

Just installed FR15 and now my micro-SD is seemingly playing up... did I see something somewhere about installing MCR wiping your external Micro SD?

Hi Paul-

Does the kernel reversion mean that fr15 no longer has the Korean SU660 home key support that FR14 had, or is it still in there? I'd love to try this rom out on my Korean O2X. Thanks!

Id would like to have toggle bar in notification just like in BGB Theme. That would seriously make me consider to become an add-free member

Dear Paul, heard that you own the SGSII now xD I was wondering if you could port the SGSII touchwiz 4 launcher for the Optimus 2x? >< the Launcher seems real neat!

I've been running with FR15 for about a day now - and it does seem faster and more responsive.

However I too can report a much larger battery drain then on the FR12 I came from - draining like 10-15% an hour at the moment, all idle screen off.

Thinking about falling back to FR12 as my phone cant stay alive for the entire day as it is now :/

Calibrating battery has no effect on the symptom.

Hope you can figure out if there is some problem Paul! Thanks for your hard work!

EDIT: I installed a process monitor tool to see what was using alot of CPU and Battery - and it showed me that the Android stock Email app had used like 45% constant battery and CPU - I had set it up to my corporate exchange account (No auto sync) - will try and kill it and monitor further battery use - not sure if this is true or the reason, but will look in to it :o

Hi all,

Same here. Waited yesterday until battery reaches near 1% left, wiped battery status, charged the phone while off, and still this morning, huge battery drain, approximately 10-15 % per hour...

Nevertheless, very smooth rom. thanks again Paul.

I haven't had anything like this. My battery level has dropped 14% in last 12 hours and 15 minutes (Mostly idle since that counts for last nights sleep). I'm using the 20110405 baseband with fr15 and JuiceDefender Ultimate, all sorts of LG & google widgets placed on my home screens.

Hmmm is flashing a new baseband really necessary for Fr15? Seems like it is recommended, hmmm may I know what are the side effects of using the older baseband compared to the newer one, some people reported that the new baseband provides a faster GPS lock, some reported the new baseband improves battery life

Well, I used the new baseband on an older Rom and it worked fine, probably works the other way too.

Hmmm no battery improvements for the newer baseband? 0.o

Interesting. Trying that as well. What tool did you use to debug it?

hey paul, fr15 seems to be perfekt, no issues at all, only one little thing: my max battery charge is 98%, i cannot charge more than that - others mentioned this on earlier roms (never had this issue).

will reinstall the rom now and look what happenes

Same here, battery drain is massive in comparison to FR12.

Many thanks for your excellent work though.

Nope battery is battery, in my experience neither rom nor baseband have a big effect on that.

okay, i managed to charge the battery to 100% but now i can confirm battery drain - 5% in ~ 25 minutes - only idle & screen off!

Coming from FR10 to FR15 pre-bake (still waiting for my ad-free status to be activated) I've had 3 reboots in 11 hours when the phone is just sitting on the desk. Strangely enough when it has rebooted SwitchPro widget doesn't work and I can't understand why. I can only think that it's been installed onto the SD card but that's unlikely.

No major battery issues but the reboot problem is concerning.

Moved from Fr12 to Fr15. Really good ROM. Until now, had 1 random reboot while sitting on the desk and huge battery drain. Anyway I'm quite happy with this release.

Not to press the issue, but does anybody have some experience with MoDaCo custom-baked ROMs and the LG PC Suite?

The phone is not detected by the suite (running Fr12). I used mostly stock options with some extras added. Is there perhaps a particular APK required on the phone to make this work?

Thanks for support!

I found an app on market called Android Assistant - it can show running processes and alot of other info including battery use statistics.

JuiceDefender can keep your phone from sleeping and cause the battery drain ! try to freeze or uninstall it and see what hppens after a full battery charge.

I had the same issue but i got rid of JuiceDefender and everything is good now.
