Guest aaww Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Hi Paul, thanks for the rom two problems that I encountered so far: 1. Hebrew fonts show from left to right in some occasions (adw icons panels and numbers on sms ) 2. more important - I can not share files through bluetooth. When you choose to send/share files you have only email options and no bluetooth. Both things were working fine on stock version. Ma hamatzav Naatali? I sms allot in Hebrew and i don't have the same problem (only in Gmail app but that is Google fault, use the email app instead) if you are sending something from the gallery, turn on the Bluetooth then try again Bluetooth option should appear there.
Guest aaww Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Battery life does not suck, you're holding it wrong. :o :mellow: Nice one ! but dude that is not the Iphone forum :D
Guest johnnydj Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) Nice one ! but dude that is not the Iphone forum :mellow: owned :o people should reply with something constructive... not things like "battery is ok" Edited May 7, 2011 by johnnydj

Hakol Tov Sice my last comment I did lots of experiments with stock roms: 1. Mine came with 10a ESA version - hebrew was reasonable battery and speed was not. 2. Eouropean stock rom make hebrew ltr instead of rtl but only in some situations. SMS hebrew is ok but numbers are wrong (like time 22:30 looks like 03:22) - I guess FR15 is based on that.... 3. Hong Kong version 10d Apr 21 have problem sync exchange contacts and calendar (wierd - email is ok) but hebrew ok and speed is good. also noticed that in this version battery seems better. 4. I'm now checking ESA Apr 21... 5. Bluetooth issue - I used to share files (not only pictures) from my GalaxyS easily through BT - Now with O2X dont have this feature....I dont remember if I had it in the stock version that the phone came with. BT is on all the time for me...
Guest Clone519 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 option in the kitchen. How about manually like using the root explorer?
Guest Khyaris Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) I have a problem with my bluetooth headset (don't know if it was present in previous version of MCR). There's a lag with the sound (~ 0.5 ms) when I watch a video or when I play. It's really annoying and I can't find something in logcat which could help for debug. By the way this lag is present when I use a touch of my headset (next for example). Thanks for your hard work Paul Edit: I have no problem with my Nexus One and Nexus S Edited May 7, 2011 by Khyaris
Guest 1nf3rn0 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Well about the battery problem, i think that there is some kind of bug in the release. I reset the battery informations, used all the charge and did a complete recharge but the problem is still there. So i checked once again spare parts and the app that is using the phone at most is the Telephone one, so i hope someone can suggest something to fix this because it's useless to have a device that needs to be recharge 2 times during the day.
Guest orion1602 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) since FR15 gps doesn't sync. I don't remember for FR14, but i know it did synchronized in 10 seconde with stock rom. Edited May 7, 2011 by orion1602

How to configure it please? EDIT : i found that : NTP_SERVER=fr.pool.ntp.org XTRA_SERVER_1=http://xtra1.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin XTRA_SERVER_2=http://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin XTRA_SERVER_3=http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com SUPL_PORT=7276 i live in Paris. Guest Helly Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 the only problem, I encounter with FR15, is my WLAn losing connection from time to time.In addition, when I leave a wlan-area, my UMTS-connection isn't properly enabled and I have to manually disable data-connection an re-enable it.
Guest aaww Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 I was using Google Maps today for the first time after flashing Fr15. The GPS was on and got a lock really quickly but the device froze and i had to pull out the battery. after a restart i lunched Google maps again, got a location fix but after using it for 6 min the device froze again.
Guest Trym Hansen Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 To all of you battery-pullers: The O2X actually has a reset-function using the buttons. Hold Vol-Up and Power buttons depressed for a few seconds, and the device will reset, even from a hard-lock. ::Trym

Meaning that if I do the soft reset I have to take the back cover off anyway in order to remove and replace my SD card.

I'm on stock though. ::Trym
Guest MeX_DK Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Well I am running stock as well. v10a though since I cant upgrade to v10b, c or d. C or D because they are not available to "Europe Open" and B because LG mobile updater claims my phone has the most recent version even tho its incorrect.
Guest Trym Hansen Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Well I am running stock as well. v10a though since I cant upgrade to v10b, c or d. C or D because they are not available to "Europe Open" and B because LG mobile updater claims my phone has the most recent version even tho its incorrect. Well, if you want, you can "upgrade" to 10B by nvflashing it. The thread is a sticky here in the forum. I would if I were you, it's the ROM I keep going back to every time I've tried MCR or CM7. It's pretty much hassle free. Not had a single reboot with that one. (After I re-formatted my SD-card that is.) ::Trym
Guest MeX_DK Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Only thing stopping me at this point is "full wipe" which occurs with NVFlash >_<. Hence I would rather wait for 10c or d to make it out. OR Gingerbread to be out whichever of the 2 are first.
Guest jon.m.knight Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 wow, such a backlash on here reference battery life... Without wanting to add fuel to the fire I'd like to add that battery life so far for FR15 is beyond my expectations; I last finished charging at 7am yesterday morning and battery for me is still at ~60%, with light/moderate usage. I flashed a baked ROM and currently I have mobile data disabled (for testing). Unless the battery stats are bullsh*t I'm actually really impressed... For all of those people moaning about battery life; have you actually tried running the ROM untouched (i.e no apps installed) for a day or two? It's quite possible that it's one of your apps that's f*cking up due to compatibility and constantly trying to use 3g; just a thought?
Guest djmcnz Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 True, but every time I have done that the phone has subsequently NOT mounted my External SD card. Meaning that if I do the soft reset I have to take the back cover off anyway in order to remove and replace my SD card. You can fix this by re-partitioning and formatting your SD card to 32k sectors. Worked for me, couldn't mount card after any soft boot, now it mounts every time.
Guest inza Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) How can I prevent the dialer from using partial wake like this: Its in swedish and it says: Usage of partial wake Since last unplugged And the long bar "Samtal" is what I asume is the dialer, the word is translated best to phonecall or conversation(in a general sense). How can I prevent this? This is eating my battery and I haven't got a single call for the entire day. I didn't have these problems on stock. Edited May 7, 2011 by inza
