Guest Involver Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Could you explain the pulldown issue? I don't have it (fresh wiped install)... P Well, basically when you pull down the notifaction tab the phone slows down and almost freezes. The pulldown stays Visible and doenst seem to respond. The phone is still running afaik, but no response to user inputs (or extremely slow). Also reboot isnt executed, the phone just freezes and i had to pull the battery... Will try whipe and reflash later today, kinda in training atm ;-)
Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 That's weird... try 'clearing data' on the Phone app... P

Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Can someone upload Jungle Gothic font pack as choosing Fonts in settings and reboot is causing infinite waiting on LG logo... I just switched to Jungle Gothics, did the reboot and it came up as intended? P
Guest PAQman Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 I happy with FR16. The battery problem seems to be gone (while wiping and switching through several ROMS) and the GPS issue is also gone since I switched to supl.nokia.com (see >this post<) Two (not very important) things I would change. there are some duplicates in /system/media/audio/alarms/... I suggest to delete Alarm_Beep_01.ogg, Alarm_Beep_02.ogg and Alarm_Beep03.ogg rename Alarm_Beep_03.ogg to Alarm_Beep03.ogg and delete Alarm_Classic.ogginclude the newer LibFlashPlayer.apk from Market
Guest ascito Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) @Paul I am unable to flash fr16. I always get installation aborted Error status 6. I backed twice my rom but with no result. I just tried to flash Cyanogen and I had no error. Help Edited May 13, 2011 by ascito

Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 @Paul I am unable to flash fr16. I always get installation aborted Error status 6. I backed twice my rom but with no result. Help Did you select 'wipe battery stats'? I just fixed an issue with the script. P
Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 :) Perfect, that is how it is supposed to look like  You really are the wizard of OS! Is it up and running in the kitchen, or coming soon? Edit: Just remembered the part about the test fixpack, in my excitement I completely forgot all about it :P OK, here is a first cut of the Norwegian fixpack. http://nigella.modaco.com/Fr16-r1-2x-nbfix.zip This isn't an update zip or anything like that, it's just the APKs for you to push to your device. e.g. unzip to a directory (e.g. 'nbfix'), run 'adb remount && adb shell stop && adb push nbfix /system && adb reboot'. The only thing I haven't translated yet is framework-res, so there will still be some english around the device, but the apps should be good. P
Guest MrMastodon Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 My experience with android sadly does not go any further than the tinkering I can do with recovery, so I can't push it before I know how to... *reading ADB for dummies* And I have to go to work in 30 min, so most likely not today... But your work is MUCH appreciated, and I am really looking foreward to having a phone, completely in norwegian!
Guest ascito Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Did you select 'wipe battery stats'? I just fixed an issue with the script. P Yes I selected the option in the kitchen...should I try to bake again?
Guest fuzzyboy Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Could you try baking in Google Contacts instead of LG Contacts and see if that helps? P I'm having the same isssue with google contacts and dialer draining (partial wake)
Guest MrMastodon Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) -Learnt how to push, pushed, now rebooting... Edit: NICE JOB!!!!!!!! Lock-screen and the names of weeks/months still in english, but I guess that is framework. Got to go to work now, will report if I notice anything weird. Have a nice weekend! Guest maedox Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Scratch that, Dialer IS showing in partial wake usage... Investigating... P Any idea if it's the same with both LG and Google Contacts/Dialer? I have the dialer partial wake issue and using LG contacts/dialer.
Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 OK, deep-diving the dialer wakelock problem... cover me, i'm going in! *rolls up sleeves* P

Guest djmcnz Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) This isn't specifically FRx related but regarding the "lock screen lag" or so it's been called where the home screen for example is displayed for a second or so when locking or unlocking. I had a theory on this that it was *not* a live screen being displayed because the time on a widget on the screen that I had was wrong... it's actually a screen/frame buffer that's being displayed. I think this means the solution is probably in the kernel. So, when you get those weird screens, it's not really "lag" (i.e. it's not the lock screen taking time to display), it's actually something Tegra related that is displaying old data on the screen. Now here's a real fun trick: I lock my screen (WidgetLocker if it makes a difference) Power off from the lock screen (long press power and select Power Off) while phone is still locked Shut the phone down Wait for capacitive buttons to go out Hold down power button for two seconds What happens? My lock screen is displayed... even though the phone is actually "off"... It fades out after a few seconds. This happened on all roms, including stock but I thought it was an interesting example to prove it's not "lag". So, Paul I expect you to completely resolve this in the next hour or so... :) Edited May 13, 2011 by djmcnz
Guest viperDono Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 @Paul, first of all thank you for all your support here! Did you forget to upload the right android.policy.jar when is selected Gingerbread standard theme from the kitchen? because i can see the original LG lockscreen instead the ginger one. I know that you will be busy by invenstigating in serious matter, but it was just a thing i would like to remind you. Thanks again this ROM looks good so far.
