Guest YourMother1972 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Just to post some results. My battery went down from 90% to 87% in 8 hours of stand-by with sync, bluetooth, wifi and gps turned off. The dialer was responsible for this "incredible" 3% drop.

Guest 75markus Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) music player buttons in pulldown menu not working for me in fr16 ... anybody else experience that ? Edited May 14, 2011 by 75markus
Guest 1nf3rn0 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 i just check it... the MD5 is correct! your help is appreciated! any other ideas? I had the same problem and i think is releated to the external sdcard. You have to format it copy the zip files and try again. Remeber to disconnect usb cable i think this is related to the problem too. Repeat this process until you can flash
Guest Involver Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 This is incredible. My batter drops 5% each time at a rate of 30mins. Guys, I also have the same issue, but please use the Battery issue topic for the battery discussion, so Paul (and everybody else) can keep track a little easier... thx - keep it clean
Guest alvari Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 It seems that when I left the phone idle while I was sleeping, the dialers partial wake bar got a lot smaller (it's now more like 5%). Also, with JD on, I only lost 11% of battery in 10h30min. So I guess I was being just too impatient.
Guest alvari Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 I just noticed that I actually have the voice dialer in my rom despite I couldn't even tick the voice dialer checkbox in kitchen (it was disabled)..
Guest LevelOne Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) Never really had an issue, but it seems i stumbled across a severe one. The device reports having 3 bars of signal or more (full strength) but it acts as if it is out of reach (cannot accept calls or SMS). The provider is Cosmote Greece and only under 2G, GSM Only and Disabled Data. I ALWAYS do a full wipe before & after each & every ROM i go through... FR13 & FR15 never had this issue... Paul, do you think you could give this a look? I may have to revert to FR15 if this continues.... (Just noticed that while it indicates 4 bars, the signal strength is -101 to -105db. Also, as this is a recurring problem, the signal falls to 0 bars all of a sudden and then back to 1 or 2 bars. This is when it starts accepting calls again...) Edited May 14, 2011 by LevelOne
Guest viperDono Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) Regarding the Hidden menu->GPS Test fix, as i would not flash the entire ROM again, could you please let me know which apk is missing in system/app in order to let the gpsTest menu showing up? Thanks in advance! Edited May 14, 2011 by viperDono

Guest viperDono Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 hiddenmenu.apk ?! hiddenmenu.apk is already included in my ROM as i have selected that option in the kitchen which means that i am able to open up the hidden menu option but i can not select GPS Test.
Guest NiTroZiK Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Why i can't restore app with Titanium? if i try i have reboots any idea?
Guest viperDono Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) I found the missing apk to enable GPSTest in teh hidden menu! I did a logcat and i discoverd it: I/ActivityManager( 1081): Starting activity: Intent { cmp=com.android.locmgrpd/.LocMgr (has extras) } V/AudioPolicyManagerBase( 1011): changeRefCount() stream 1, count 0 V/AudioPolicyManagerBase( 1011): getNewDevice() selected device 0 V/AudioPolicyManagerBase( 1011): setOutputDevice() output 1 device 0 delayMs 0 V/AudioPolicyManagerBase( 1011): setOutputDevice() setting same device 0 or null device for output 1 Basically it was LocMgrPD.apk and LocMgrPT.apk I would like to point out that Paul have already fixed this issue in the kitchen, but after i baked my ROM, so what i did is to try to understand which apps were missing. Thank you anyway! Edited May 14, 2011 by viperDono
Guest maedox Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Why i can't restore app with Titanium? if i try i have reboots any idea? Because you don't know how to use it? And whatever you do, don't add _any_ details at all about which apps/settings etc. you are trying to restore.
Guest Squide Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 I just noticed that I actually have the voice dialer in my rom despite I couldn't even tick the voice dialer checkbox in kitchen (it was disabled).. me too. I use titanium to remove that..

Guest alvari Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) me too. I use titanium to remove that.. How did you manage to get it working? I tried the forced remove but the phone just rebooted _once_ and voice dialer is still there and functional EDIT: ok I just tried the un-install and it worked. Thanks for the tip. ;D Edited May 14, 2011 by alvari
Guest Trym Hansen Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) "InfoService:Can't apply settings to modem." I get this message on 90% on the boots, on stock and on MCR. Does anybody know what it's supposed to mean? Something to do with tethering perhaps? It seems to mostly pop up if USB is connected, but it does show up when not connected as well. ::Trym Edited May 14, 2011 by Trym Hansen
