Guest MeX_DK Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 "InfoService:Can't apply settings to modem." I get that message on stock as well. Even if USB interface is not connected to either charger nor PC's.
Guest Elte Hupkes Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 "InfoService: Can't apply settings to modem." Same here, I've been meaning to bring it up but I keep forgetting, especially since I haven't the faintest idea what it means and it doesn't appear to affect anything.

Guest netz Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 I had the same problem and i think is releated to the external sdcard. You have to format it copy the zip files and try again. Remeber to disconnect usb cable i think this is related to the problem too. Repeat this process until you can flash thanks so much!! i had to format my SDcard but finally worked!!! =)
Guest beriksson Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 i dont know if this will help, but if its a bug, then it might of already been fixed in fr15? try updating to the latest rom, then report back. Running latest Fr16 and still disconnects from hidden wifi. Gingerbread comes to the rescue?
Guest Squide Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Maps. And Street View. It hit me like a ton of bricks when removing these from MCR suddenly gave me a silky smooth phone. I've tried it both ways, I installed maps on the aforementioned ROM, and the previews instantly became juddery. Restored backup of FR16, uninstalled maps (with Titanium), no difference. Uninstalled Street View as well, and presto: I suddenly had the smooth performance back, or in the case of MCR, for the first time. It seems very strange to me that such a key app for Android can impact the user-experience so dramatically, and it isn't necessarily so, CM is still very nice even with Maps and SV installed. I can only speculate, so I guess that it simply does not play nice with LGs implementation, which MCR has inherited of course. The next possibility is of course that another component I always have installed interferes with Maps, and that I'm the only one with this combination. Does anyone else see the same thing? ::Trym Street View is usually not launched during boot up.. The map launched 4 processes at the back tracking my location for Google Latitude.. but it don't bother too much on the performance of my pure-blooded custom bake Fr16
Guest Kuen Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 FR16 did not Tradition Chinese again...... And after flash this rom, restore from my BackUp and many APP crash, reboot...i need to reinstall all APP from Market..... Very unstable
Guest johnnydj Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 FR16 did not Tradition Chinese again...... And after flash this rom, restore from my BackUp and many APP crash, reboot...i need to reinstall all APP from Market..... Very unstable I never use Titanium Backup after flashing a ROM because I just don't trust it. I keep all my app installs in a folder on the card and after a new ROM I just start them 1 by 1 and install them all in about 3 minutes. I don't think that's hard at all.
Guest Squide Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 FR16 did not Tradition Chinese again...... And after flash this rom, restore from my BackUp and many APP crash, reboot...i need to reinstall all APP from Market..... Very unstable I live in HK, and I'm using Traditional Chinese! From Fr12 to now, all version have Traditional Chinese You can try to restore your nandroid backup.. then flash Fr16 without wipe, your app should be there without reinstall .. all setting should be there too. if some app got problem, try to wipe the setting of the app itself can do.

Guest Trym Hansen Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 (edited) Street View is usually not launched during boot up.. The map launched 4 processes at the back tracking my location for Google Latitude.. but it don't bother too much on the performance of my pure-blooded custom bake Fr16 Thanks, and sorry to have wasted your time reading my post. I've removed the original post - because the reason is dead simple and I was too stupid to see it. Uninstalling Maps removed 4 icons from the home-screens, which was enough to make LP smooth again. I didn't see it at first, because on the "other" ROM, which was "Slick2x", I had the same number of icons, since LP was restored from a backup. Many icons didn't point to an actual resource though, since the apps weren't installed. It's the resource-access which kills performance (called "assets" in Android I believe.) (There's a toggle in Cyanogen which allows the system to keep assets in memory. If you switch that off, you get the same thing.) Again, sorry. I did say I was speculating, but this time the speculations were way off the mark. ::Trym Edited May 15, 2011 by Trym Hansen
Guest Trym Hansen Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 64MB RAM tweak will be coming in Fr16 tomorrow. P Optional, I hope? There are already reports of some games not working with this "tweak." ::Trym

Go into the LG hidden menu 2. Go into GPS Test 3. Go into System Settings 4. MOLR Protocol (is set to User-Plane) 5. SULP Setting -> SLP Server Setting, I created a new one for the nokia servers (slp address: supl.nokia.com, port: 7275, no cert and no TLS setting) 6. SLP Auto Provision is activated I tried, and it really works! I'm living in HK, I use the same nokia server as they do. I guess LG had put something in their hidden menu which replace the normal android "gps.conf" 's function Beacuse I did try to modify the gps.conf using the above settings.. and reboot.. still no help. Try using the above hidden menu method, if seems not working, try reboot. then, it works.. using "GPS staus and tool", I can still fix near the windows indoor now.
Guest wapz Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Hi Paul, coyld you release MCK r11 seperately and make a release for cm7? There are only 2.6.32.39/40 kernels for it at the moment and all of them have the stuttering/music lag problems. Since you seem to have made the most stable kernel so far ut would be great if you could release it for cm7 as well. i think it would get a lot of users

Guest Fajar EP Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Hi Paul, Using FR16, i still see Dialer eating resource in partial wakeup? is that normal?
Guest clesenne Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Never really had an issue, but it seems i stumbled across a severe one. The device reports having 3 bars of signal or more (full strength) but it acts as if it is out of reach (cannot accept calls or SMS). The provider is Cosmote Greece and only under 2G, GSM Only and Disabled Data. I ALWAYS do a full wipe before & after each & every ROM i go through... FR13 & FR15 never had this issue... Paul, do you think you could give this a look? I may have to revert to FR15 if this continues.... (Just noticed that while it indicates 4 bars, the signal strength is -101 to -105db. Also, as this is a recurring problem, the signal falls to 0 bars all of a sudden and then back to 1 or 2 bars. This is when it starts accepting calls again...) Same problem here on Vodafone UK. Connection is fine with the same SIM in an old Sony handset. C
