Chocolate kernel with 2.2 ?

hmmm gnufabio how i can import the new chocolate kernel to the roggin's cm6.1?

Copy the right bootimg in the root of the zip, rename it as the previous bootimg and change the files in /system/lib/modules

Uhm, maybe the chocokernel doesn't work with the AcerStock based roms :D

Don´t think so, chocolate kernel for CM7 boots me under LCR2.0, but with wrong DPI and screen calibration...

is this ok? can i use liquidmkbootimg to repack it with the choco kernel??

Tryed all images, so result is:

newboot0.img - booting, but screen is black with backlight is on, able to shell access. SDcard is not mounted.

newboot1.img - reboot after 2s - acer logo at all

newboot2.img - the same as newboot0.img

The problem must be that your firmware is a stock acer...i will try when i've some spare time :D

Tried to install MIUI 1.3.18 kernel with modules (it has only bcm4329.ko and ramzswap.ko in /system/lib/modules), but got a funny problem with screen calibration. So, it seems like chocolate kernel can be used with stock liquid firmware. And also i tried to add full directory /system/lib/ (just for fun) from MIUI with all .so libraries, but got freeze at acer logo with androids.

The only reason i want to install choco kernel is multitouch fix. With stock kernel with mt fix i got bad sensitivity of the screen bottom, but with choco it works perfect.

gnufabio, may be you tell me, where to see and what to change in kernel config to solve calibration problem, i'll compile it by myself.

gnufabio, you have to compile kernel with vmsplit 2g/2g so it work on LCR or t&l.

If you compile kernel with split 3G it will work only on cm or aosp or any port from other device.

the miui 1.3.18 one should work fine, miui based on froyo...

oc kernels for acer roms by ritchen have noxwell's mt fix.. no updated 3d driver as in choco kernel..

I can confirm this, no boot if you have 3g vmsplit on acer based roms....

you shold copy a2sd scripts from /system/bin

also files from system/etc/init.d

and also maybe vold files from /etc and /bin

It should be under "Processor type and Features"

The value is under "Memory split" and should set to : 3G/1G user/kernel split, Just change it to 2G/2G :D

if it will not work, take vold files from previous rom and flash again.

or for first try to flash zip without these files (just delete them).

flash without sign check, ofcourse.
