Guest GregorioUY Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 Ok, just got back from a litlle trip to Argentina, and I regretted (once again), that my Pulse/U8220-6, using Basic-CM6-2.2, couldn't fully use the camera app, because 2.1, was the last version to have "native" integration, with the hardware (I know that devs has put great effort into making a working 2.2/2/3 version). But on the other side, I love CM6 (haven't tried CM7 yet). I know I'm not very skilled about Android, but is it possible that someone makes a CM5/2.1 version for the Pulse? After all, 2.1, is the most "official" stable version, and could try it and use it. Moreso, just today, for a brief moment, I flashed FLB 1.7, over my old CM6 settings, and even if it crashed on startup, the couple of screen I got feeled so much faster than the "fresh installation" (maybe because somehow, the SetCPU app was already installed, and "inherited" all the setting from CM6). Could that be possible, or am I too crazy to ask? I would prefer stability, over bleeding edge Android, but that's just my opinion Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You're saying that the only thing that you don't like of cm6 is that the camera does not work at all? right? Well you can apply a patch that makes the camera work fine, Anegin made it, is a member of the forum. I already got the latest version of the Basic rom, that DOES include that fix, but that only fix the resolution issue, not the zoom one, and that's the one that bugs me. Don't know if it was just a digital zoom, maybe using another app could fix it, but there's also the issue if the front camera (that in some future, could be useful), or the orientation that sometimes locks itself...I know it's too much to ask, I'm mostly happy with Basic 2.2, but those litlle details are slightly annoying, specially when you encounter them in the moment you most need the phone Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
