Guest the sandman Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Hi, I was wondering if it is possible for the HTC Messenger app that's inside the Sense roms to work on a rom that doesn't have Sense installed in it? If so, does anyone know where I can find a cab for it? Thanks in advance
Guest Bryan W. Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 I'm sure in one way or another its possible, but not easy. Many of the HTC apps are interconnected. For example, to my knowledge the HTC Phonebook will only work the HTC canvas dialer - unless you do some hacking around.. The Phonebook itself may depend on the presence of other packages too. That is one of those things that would take time, trial and error.

Probably not worth all the trouble maybe not the htc messaging app, but HTC also used arcsoft messaging in some of its sense roms. This is usable outside of sense, but isn't nearly as pretty and mostly just for uploading pix/vid for mms.
