Hi guys, I'm a newbie on here looking for some hints/tips for upgrading a friends Advent VEGA.

I'm pretty gen'd up PC-wise, used to using Windows, DOS, Linux, Unix etc

My friend Dave has a new Vega that he wants to upgrade to MoDaCo but hasn't the technical ability to do it.

So, I'm after some hints and tips on how to perform this for him.

What do I need?

What should I watch out for?

Cheers,

Steve.

You need to read a lot of post in the Vega section first of all.

To install the rom you need to get your computer to recognise the vega in adb mode.

Once thats done you can push the new rom across to the device and the rest is easy.

JP, cheers for that, I'll check out the Vega forum and then give it a go.

Is it hard to get the computer to recognise the Vega then?

If you have a windows xp computer it is fairly easy, as long as you install the correct usb driver. If you are planning on using a windows 7 pc things are a bit more difficult

Follow one of these guides here amd you should be ok.
