Hi,

referring to a thread on xdadevelopers: Has anyone managed to increase the read_ahead_kb value on the vega for better SD Card performance?

SD Increase from the market works on my Vega (MCR r8) but the setting doesn't survive a reboot.

Did you test the settings with "SD Tools"? Do the results change after setting the kb-value with SD Increase?

Yes and yes!

SD Tools shows the expected higher data transfer rates.

Just set the cache size with SD Increase and click the button and the setting is instantly applied until next reboot.

An update for anyone thinking about trying this...

SD Increase now has an option 'Set every boot' - all self explanatory lol.

So no need for any Vega specific script to set the cache size - SD Increase now does it all!
