Major Swedish Spring RLS4 battery issue

No dialer wakelock issues but this morning I noticed that battery drain was quite significant while phone was sleeping. There's nothing suspicious in SpareParts. Just checked android battery stats and Cell Standby is very high (43%) It used to be lot smaller. Very weird.

If I go under settings / about phone and battery use then I see both Cell Standby and Cell Idle at about the same (50% and 49%) so all seems good there, AFAIK. It has always seemed to be that even when I got six days plus of usage from my last charge. My wife's is the same also. But I will check hers when she is back home.

If you experienced high battery drain when sleeping it is strange that nothing shows under partial wakes..? For me my phone drops about 1 or 2% overnight.

I always airplane mode it over night as I dont want no fool waking me while i sleep

I just went to gen2 rls5 and no asop dialer and so far have had zero dialer wake lock issues.

I use the phone for about an hour each night to stream wifi radio before i sleep and then the normal light text and calls during the day.

now on 51% for 1d18h since last charged so quite happy with that.

god knows if its gen2 or stock dialer or whatever but my wakelock issues seem to be gone

Well, I just did the Gen 2 update and flashed RLS5 and the Aosp dialer (which btw works on RLS5 even though the .zip says RLS4), and things look very promising. So far I can report that the phone is not waking up when I press Menu or Home, which it used to do on Gen 1. So that's a very good sign. Also, the dialer doesn't show up in the partial wake list in Spare Parts anymore. But it's only been a few minutes, I'll report back on that.

Mine drops only 1% overnight. Something drains battery after I'm using the phone for a while. Maybe it needs a couple of days to settle.

After a night leaving the phone on, I can confirm that switching to Gen2 and flashing RLS5 + AOSP dialer got rid of the problem. The Dialer doesn'*t show up on the partial wake list any more, and battery dropped only 7% in 9h (as opposed to the 50% it dropped over night before).

Forgot to mention but I switched from SS ROM to LanceH's adaptation of SS 5 with the AOSP dialler built in.

From the feedback there does seem to be a relationship with the change to GEN 2 and the improvements in the way that the dialler behaves under the partial wakes, for some people at least.
