Audio Outputs

Does anyone one know if there is a way of outputting the audio to the analogue jack whilst the HDMI lead is connected. I want to send video to the TV and audio to the surround sound independently.

If that's not possible then couldn't you take the audio out from your TV?

Or if you happen to have a cable like this

and your TV has a DVI-D port, then the sound is sent to the audio jack.

if the analog cuts out when the hdmi is used it might be a digital switch so you may be able to hack it, if its a physical and literally switches something off when you push then HDMI in there you wont be able to change this .ose, better the option mentioned above though, take your sound out of the tv's audio out port, you should have a phono jack outputs.

Yeah easy to take the output from the TV but the surround is pre wired to the console table for ipod dock/vega/laptop etc so was trying to use it instead of running more wires through the wall.

Definitely easier to go TV to Amp rather than vega to amp.
