LG Gt540 vs LG ME P350

Anyone know how much different the P350 is from the GT540 as Hardware concerns?

I was able to root the P350's android 2.2.2 with gingerbreak 1.1

But it is not yet such a popular phone although it is cheap.

I wonder If I could try a GT540 rom to flash it with as to me specs look very similar.

It is different. GT540 has older kernel and a resistive touchscreen. You can try to port the GT540 ROM to the P350.
