Guest joker87 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Hi, I have an Acer Liquid E with MIUI 1.3.5 custom ROM and app2sd enabled by default with malez recovery on 512 MB EXT2 partition on the SD, but I'm still having memory problems with tens of apps installed. It's impossible to install apps like Google earth (20+ MB...) and it seems I have reached the limit. Any suggestions? Thanks
Guest HustlinDaily Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Hmm bigger partition? Nandroid, reformat, restore Nandroid. Hopefully that works (not 100% sure to be honest).

Thanks get a 8 gig or 16 gig SD do a nandroid of ur old sd..and for the new increase the ext to 1024 or higher..guess that would give u more space for apps..and also u can find a free app2sd gui in market s pretty gud :)
Guest joker87 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Thank you, I'll try a bigger partition.
Guest joker87 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 As I feared SD card reformat with 1024 MB EXT2 partition didn't work, it's a matter of /data /system folder that run ouf of space with tens of apps installed.
Guest Tiny Jacky Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) It is a matter of partition of rom, the space given for /data is too small Edited May 1, 2011 by Tiny Jacky
Guest Auxx Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 That means apps do not reside on card. Push them there through settings.
Guest joker87 Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 It is a matter of partition of rom, the space given for /data is too small Is it possible repartitioning the rom??
Guest joker87 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) It's almost one year ago, however the solution was moving dalvik cache to the EXT partition, not the partition size. App2sd alone isn't enough with a low internal memory device like our Liquids'. Now I have 200+ apps installed and I've never seen again that annoying notification about running out of space. Guest LUVLiquid Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Then the phone respond will be a lot slower if you move dalvik cache to the EXT partition
Guest joker87 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Of course, but without it you can use only a small part of android potential.
