Can't hear without speakerphone

A weird problem started happening on my phone a couple months ago. It's not all the time, it comes and goes.

The problem is that I make or get a call and I cannot hear the person...if i turn on speakerphone i can hear them just fine (but so can everyone else).

Anyone seen this before, or have any idea of what it might be?

Anyone seen this before, or have any idea of what it might be?

Also, I recently put a new ROM on my phone (partially in attempt to fix this) so that should rule out some weird app. All I have installed is Titanium Plugins, BING, and a couple of games.
