How to run Gameloft HD Game

yeah sometimes i really hate that the blade has 800x480 WVGA screen resolution with 320x480 (or even below) some games could run up to 2.5 times faster ^^

im wondering if its possible to make a rom/kernel that makes fullscreen opengles apps run in 320x480 and scale them up to 800x480

I don't think it would much matter.

i) The blade is massively CPU limited - not GPU

ii) Higher resolutions do hit the GPU, but nowhere near as literally as that

dunno but the comparison between htc desire (1ghz snapdragon + adreno200) vs Blade (480x800 msm7227 600mhz with adreno200) vs sony xperia X8 (320x480 msm7227 600mhz with adreno200) vs sony xperia X10mini (240x320 msm7227 600mhz with adreno200) show something different

I wouldn't expect though. In any case, it wouldn't much help you in this particular thread because all Gameloft games are HD. :P

Games that are detailed enough to slow up the GPU are almost always HD so it's kinda catch22.

I have to say, I've not personally played any game on this phone ever that's GPU limited.

That doesn't prevent CM to ship a fix to make those games run on the Blade.

I have to say, it would be handy. It's a pain changing it again every nightly. :rolleyes: I can't see that they'd do it though.

Tried changing the manufacturer. Now Asphalt 5 works but sandstorm and gangstar WCH which had previously worked are unplayable. :P Anyone care to explain?

Btw, has anyone been able to play Jet Car Stunts on the Blade? Mine reboots whwnever I try to install the .apk file...

I tried this on SS RLS5 with Softbank kernel and now market won't start and neither do the new games. I guess it's only for CM7 then?

Aarrgh! My phone won't reboot after changing to HTC. Stops at green Android logo. Can I access the phones drive through USB in service mode and change the setting?

I think i've figured out why these games work with manufacturer trick on CM7 only...when froyo roms can just run the game without any trick. I think only some HD games for specific phones support gingerbread and htc seems to do the trick so that it downloads cache for gingerbread rom..when on froyo roms you can just play the game without any problem.

yer either pull it with adb and change the file.

or flash your rom again (just the rom not data) then it will effectivly reset the system partition. and keep all your apps and settings :P

Ok, Gonna be a total newb (again) but how do you download these - and yes, I will be buying them :P

I visit the Gameloft site on my PC and then choose either HTC Desire / Bravo or HTC HD (based on thread entries) and then get the site to send me an SMS.

Open the link in my browser on the phone (stock browser) and it opens a WAP site in the address bar briefly and then changes this to the gameloft.co.uk homepage.

Do you have to register & buy etc from the website via your phone, as I'd much prefer to do all of this on a PC and then download and install the apk if poss.

Only interested in Lets Golf to be honest - unsure which one to plump for if I can finally get it working.

It had me setting up an account and entering credit card number on the site! It only texted me a download link.

Have had another go at this... Registered an account and entered my Paypal details as opposed to CCard.....

If I try to buy via PC, I am offered games at the full £3 price....

Got another SMS link sent to me from the web site after logging in and just get redirected to the gameloft.co.uk site and if I try to buy from there, I again get a price of £3....

Ah well, would have taken a chance at getting a couple of these going at £1, but can't be arsed at £3 - yep, I'm tight :D

once you get to the build prop at the top of the page you get the options to r/w or mount r/o select the second option then long press on build prop should bring up permissions tick all three top boxes then open with text editor change zte to HTC where needed then press menu then save option.

You only have to change this line.

ro.product.manufacturer=ZTE change ZTE to HTC that's all. I seen your post over on the ZTE Crescent forum, this also works for that phone as I have it too.

If your trying to download these games from Google play then that's the problem not your build prop, you need to look for alternative sites to download these games from.

OMG!! i downloading apk from internet no from google play i only download some programs etc... from google play ...
