Strange restart loop

Hi guys,

Ive got a weird problem with my phone and I cant work out whats wrong with it.

The problem -

My streak keeps rebooting, it will load up, get to the unlock screen and after 10 seconds the 3 LED's flash and the phone reboots. This happens every time, sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes before I get chance to unlock it.

What Ive tried -

Lots of factory resets! I was running 351 for the past week or so with no problems at all - then I had this issue. The factory resets do not affect it. So i've flashed streakmod recovery and gone to DJ Steves 1.9.1 and I still get the same problem.

I read on a forum search that it could be a dodgy SD card that appeared in the first batch of streaks so I ran the self diagnostic tests but they tell me that there is nothing wrong with the SD card.

I've got no idea what to do now, as far as I can tell its not ROM specific problem... so must be hardware?!?

I can get the phone to stay running if I take the SIM out or have it in aeroplane mode... so im guessing its a problem with the receiver?

Is the best thing for me to do to flash it with a stock ROM and send it off to Dell?

Thanks for any ideas.

I had the same problem too and no one was able to help me out. What worked for me was changing the baseband to 318. I heard it's more stable.

Have you rooted your phone yet?

Hi ya,

Its back....

I tried changing the internal sd card but still have the same problem.

I think its heat related because it happens after continuous web browsing for 10min or 5min of game play.

Once it starts looping I take battery out, wait a while and then put it back together and its all fine till next time it gets intensive use...

Maybe it is baseband? Im not sure

put the 318 baseband on... still the same.

the phone is stable whilst not doing much or just being used for calls / messages.

as soon as I play a game or browse for long periods it restarts, and then boot loops unless you leave it turned off for a while.

I took a log of the last crash..

The logs suggest a power issue with the modem.

I have the same problem, my streak occassionally doing unfinite reboot loop until its battery finally discharged.

I finally figure it out! Simple trick to prevent reboot loop.

When the streak reboot process goes to the locked home screen, quickly slide the unlock icon to unlock it then push the power button to disable its touch sensor. Wait for a while, appox 10 minutes to let it load all the app, then press the power button again to unlock its touch sensor.

This trick work on my streak, hope it work on your too.

I guess the touch sensor are doing false sensing then it confused the cpu while loading the os and other process.
