Use the Looooooong press :P

Short press: sleep

Medium press: power menu (Not working right now)

Loooong Press: Shutdown

Press and hold power button for more than 6 seconds for the looong press.

long press not really advisable as it force closes and doesnt get chance to shut down properly, use recovery app and close down in cwm is safer :P

Dont reboot :P

Why I oughta...!

Anything I can flash though to make the usb host mode permanent? Or a script or something?

I had this problem too, and the only fix i found was to wipe and reflash again. Worked fine second time round.

I also had the problem of no market, but it works (intermittently) after a reboot - no need to reflash.

Use from market Quick reboot. It takes care of it

I'm not sure how 'gently' any of them shutdown, but I use Gscript as it does most things you might need like reboot, shutdown, boot to recovery and has a very small footprint.

reboot will reboot (odd that) and reboot -p will shut down

I believe it's set in the kernel so I'd guess your only option is if Corvus codes it in.

The dock usb ports are always in host mode.

Thanks for the info.

Anyone else suffering very, and I mean VERY frequent lockups with this build? This is not meant as a criticism of the guys' work btw since this is by definition a beta release but I stayed on Alpha 4 until 1.3 was released and I have to say the Alpha was a lot more stable for me. I have CPU Master clocking things down to 1ghz and I use appkiller but I would say in mixed use I'm getting a full lockup about every 15 to 20 minutes. This means a hard reboot to get going again...rinse and repeat. I was more than happy using Alpha 4 as a day to day proposition because I just surf listen to tunes and play the odd game but I am seriously considering wiping and going back to one of the Corvus or other releases. Just wanted to find out if this is unusual or if many others are finding the same? Also is it worth me going for a re-install of this Beta? Pretty sure I wiped everything that should have been but couldn't say I'm 100% on that..

Re-install might help, one other thing that could help is to format your sd card and reload just your own files on it (pics/music/movies).

I had a few false starts but on putting a blank sd card in found that things went a lot smoother, lots of apps leave files on the sd card so a clean start there too might help.

Heyy, few ppl with problem on installing VegaComb due the overclock stuff

and many complaining about the freezes

both things aren't related? I mean when you overclock your stuff with no voltage increase and decent cooling and a crappy powersupply, freezes, that's what you get (and come on, this table isn't a overclock rig)

what about an overclock utility? For those who want some extra speed =/

I do not want to make my tablet's life shorter by overclocking it !!

please Sir Newbe5 and Corvus, remove the overclock thing (or make it to 1.2ghz)

Freezes and OC problems are not necessarily related.

vega works without producing considerable heat at 1 ghz, and it generally doesn't have much trouble running at 1.5 either.

Freezes are most likely related to memory management.

Remember, Vega and PoV have 512 mb for ram and another 512 for NAND ( which leaves less space for cache )

BTW you can easily put the CPU back to 1ghz ( or 1.2, if you prefer) using SetCPU

it has already been pointed out the overclocking is a bug not a feature

the rom isnt supposed to be overclocked but is supposed to allow overclocking

future versions of vegacomb will not be overclocked as standard

Hi Guys

I like the vegacomb 1.3 very much.

The only problem I have is that the screen resolution is too high for me, unless I take to wearing glasses.

While using Dolphin HD I find myself having to zoom in a bit to read the screen.

Or is it just dolphin that has this problem

Going to give it another chance and wipe everything this time. Sounds like I'm not alone but hopefully this will improve things a bit and allow me to keep using 1.3 as opposed to going back to the dark pre-VegaComb days :P

Fingers crossed...

Can't wait. Kinda glad that i've skipped 1.3 by the sound of the issues a lot of you guys are having. Took some serious restraint! Newbe5 - You should've worn a mask! Its sort of ruined the mystique a little :P

I have the same problem on home screens etc but dolphin can be fixed in dolphins settings, just set text to large .

ohh yeah, set cpu!! ;D

btw, my major issue with the rom is: can't get QuickOffice running (the one from adam) T__T

I need it in classroom :P

with that, no need for updates (for me)..
