Guest Fou-lu Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Thanks for the quick reply. Just how much do you have to use your phone for the battery to last one day with 2.3? (I'm have the same problem with my Nokia 5800 that I installed a custom ROM on) Can I upgrade a 2.3 ROM after I install one on my phone? (Or do I have to reinstall everything afterwards?) It will last 1 day for me on heavy usage, internet and Gaming , much improved battery life since 2.3.4 like mushroom_lord said. Upgrading to 2.3 you gotta go GEN2 (three button hold down TPT method), or use KK's converter for GEN1 compatibility with it.

I know I will have to go for a 2.3 ROM in time, but I'll wait for them to get a bit more stable until I drop the hammer on one. Cheers : )
Guest ValiantSaint Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) Boot into clockwork and install from there, if your on SS. Where do you find the theme pack in clockwork? Or do you download it as a ZIP file, then install it? Thanks : ) EDIT: Oops, double post, sorry : ( Edited May 13, 2011 by ValiantSaint

Last Big problem in 2.3 is the accelerometer, that seems to be getting fixed now, otherwise everything else is finally stable.
Guest ty_hot Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) Hello guys, I'm kind of lost with this upgrading stuff  My SanFran just arrived with a 2.2 Custom Rom (Japanese Jellyfish RLS9)... I want to go to the Swedish Spring that seems to be the most stale and with best battery life nowadays. What do I have to do? Im kind of scared because I bought it as it is now, so I dont knw what 'things' the guy did befre (like those 'clock recovery' and stuff like that)... Anyways, I'm loving it, pretty fast 3g and nice apps (downloaded more than 30 in the first few hours haha) thanks in advance edit. well, after some reading i did update it to the Swedish_Spring_RLS5, seems to be working fine (had to update twice, the first time the wifi stoped working somehow) One thing i didnt get, whats bad in updating a GEN1 to a GEN2 phone? By the ZIP file, do you mean the one that contained the SS ROM, or another one you have to download and install? Cheers : )

Cheers : ) You need to download the relevant theme zip file. Look in the themes and design customization sub forum and there is a pinned thread named unified theme thread.
