The reason I prefer O2X over SGS2

Given the hardware configuration and the prices are not a day and night different...

the outlook of the product would take a major part to consider.

For me,

I really hated the i-Phone like physical Home button design.

Luckily LG's overseas version use a professional looking touch key~

the last 3 mobiles I used...

LG's O2x, Acer's Liquid, Toshiba G810.. all of them using touch keys, a completely flat surface.

I picked it because:

1: I needed a new phone and did not want to wait 2-3 months for Sensation/SGS2

2: Seemed to be rooted very fast and open to custom ROMS.

3: Search key! The long press hotkey to Quick Settings is absolutely essential as far as I am concerned.

Why did I choose an O2X ?

#1 Paul support :-)

... and also

#2 Build and material quality

#3 Performances

#4 Design

Why an O2X over a SGS2 ?

#1 Build and material quality (the SGS2 feels cheap)

#2 Design

... and also

#3 Not a big fan of OLED screens (bue-ish and unusable with direct sun light)

#4 Hypothetic battery life (bigger screen + higher frequency + more ram to supply with a marginally larger battery)

#5 Price (the SGS2 is not cheap)

The SGS2 is a great product. Maybe a better product than the O2X for most people. Yet I personnally just can't cope with it's design and poor build quality.

o2x is less iphone'ish than sgs2

screen is 4" which is enough, 4,3" is too big for smarphone

o2x has aluminium frame whis is solid enough for me

I will never ever buy again a samsung phone

I had the wave 8500 - bad firmware

I had the wave 8530 worst firmware

I had the Omnia 8910 - very bad firmware with missing promised options

I had the Galaxy S 9000 and I startet with the 1st Firmware until Mai this year - they were not able to build a non lagging firmware

I had the Galagy Tab and the firmware were worse

I sold all of them and now I have a LG ( which is not running well on stock, but great with FR oder CM )

Here I stay

So the SGS adventure - without me - I allready read about lags and so on
