I'm loving this ROM; running 1.6.1 with TripNBB49. It's fast and responsive and the battery life is great. In 15 hours so far, my battery is at 46% with fairly heavy use including music, browsing, SMS, calls and constant playing ;) I can't appear to send MMS - (never downloads for the recipient) but that could be something my end. The only strange thing is that the battery temperature is constantly at 24°c since I downloaded the ROM yesterday.

Can anybody please tell me if the call conference is working in any conbination of ROM and BB ?

Because is not working for me:

I have BB49 (the one builded by Trip) and ROM 1.6.1, Everithing is working, and is very stable (no reboots, or wear things) and VERY FAST !!!!!, but when I tryto do a Call Conference, after doing the second call the button "Merge Calls" does not appear ?

Any Sugestions ????

And is anyone having issues with battery drain?! i'm on TRIPnBB 49 with trip's 1.6.1 ROM battery went from 85% to 18 % in a matter of 3 hours with barely any usage.

I have a problem with the voice mail notification (little icon in top left when there is a message) - It doesn't seem to show up in 1.6 or 1.6.1 - SMS works perfectly. Anyone else?

Anyone? I forgot to mention I am on Rogers in Canada using BB49.

Only other issues for me are:

1. SMS time shows as 4 hours behind

2. Bluetooth audio streaming works intermittently (have to turn bt on / off for it to work or turn my jabra cruiser on / off) the strange thing is that it works perfectly for calls every time.

Any help would be appreciated.

@Trip, I'm on AT&T and I'm not having any issues at all with 1.6.1 BB61 with your BB patch from your OP..

love this rom 1.6.1 on BB49 but have encountered something I don't like. I was on a call and I had an email come through. this email, or rather I suspect the use of data disconnected the phone call. I think I have read that BB49 does not allow similtantious data and phone call, is this right? if so, is there a way to stop this from happening apart from disabling data should you wish to call, annoying to have to do so within a received call. fantastic rom in all other regards

Thats correct, it can be hacked tough, I did it in multiple ways. Issue then was disconnecting radio constantly but it can be fixed with some way to tell the radio system that the baseband does support it. Then you only need to fix the connection to bb and back telling it to overflow his connections. If its going to result in stable radio its impossible to say now. But everything can be done, one way or another. I dont believe that "things" are not possible. Everything is possible you just need to think outside the box ;)

I remembered that in ROM version 1.6, I was able to do Call Conference with BB 0.54 and the Tip´s Patch, but no sms.....

The Call Conference isue (I do not know if I´m the only one who cares about this) could be related to ROM or BB or Both ?

I will say BB.65 with ATTPatch does not work for me. Intermittant radio it comes and goes, not any different that regular .65 with no patch. .49/.52 works fine.

bb.67 with trip patch signal loss problem so trying bb49 now

baseband 49 is 10 times better than any other baseband for me.

so far no problems at all.

Thanks for the reply Trip. I am used to disconnecting the data when not browsing so should not be too much of a problem. If not connected to net then no disconnecting of calls, plus the benefit of further extended battery life. If it becomes an issue for me I can always upgrade the BB.

I dont know of what I may miss out on in the way of your hacks if I run a different BB to what you advise so will stay on 49 for time being, it runs nicely as is. Thanks

I got the same problem with bluetooth On bb67

2007 g35 pairs no problem when u answer threw bluetooth its distorted, gotta turn off and on bluetooth then it sounds proper
