i make a backup with my backup pro. Then i flash the miui rom. I restore my backup and the rom is verry slow and unstable. My daily rom is now your 2.3.3 stock rom....

If u open anything like dialer,phonebook,any app it take time to open without any restore but if u restart the phone it get again fast for little time than slow.

Trip is it me or you're taking feedback negatively?

In my case, and you've seen it, I go step y step, hours at a time, to test your rom... in fact, if you let me, and don't go about being mad at me for getting the honor to review it real-time, like always, then I can tell you if it is slower or faster; nevertheless, I'll wait a bit more for you to fix some bugs, if any, before doing the review. Just tell me when, dude, I'll do it!

When Autofocus in Video and automatic flash in camera mode works it will be great.

No charging or Market issues, great work as usual.

One Note: I installed Twitter from Market. App is running fine but when i want to make a widget theres no twitter shortcut in the bottom widget bar. :rolleyes:

Can anybody confirm that?

Is there an ETA for next Update? :)

If u do all the steps correctly, u will ALWAYS have a clean, out of the box, blazing fast ROM. Most of the people here don't know how to make such a ROM, they mix backups etc etc and they end up with a sluggish phone, which some of us experienced miui/android users never experience...

I've been using Trip's ROM's back to XDA days, and they never had performance issues, at least not to such a degree that u can call it "slow".

Also, i didnt check if Trip has disabled the FPS cap, but i did flas Z's fps uncap nevertheless, and the speed of UI is just amazing. Everything opens so fast, and if u people tell me u can see the difference in speed by gettind 300 points less in Quadrrant, then i would say u are full of bulls*****

I understand Trips reactions, he really can't be responsible for peoples mistakes... Just chill all...

beautifull rom...

by reading all here i can see that the new GB is still getting used to with all the new methods of installing.

and by reading alot i can see that all dev's have difrent methods of installing a pre rootet rom usefull with xrec and stuff we need to get all of it out.

onother thing i can read that it coms verry precicely how to do and on the sec. , wait to short problems etc etc maby that how evrybody get a difrent outcome and/ore an untable rom.

there are multiple pre xrec and root ftf files as well with difrent outcome. other defs told that you have to path the old 0.3 xrec so you could use it like before and other you have to place stuff in mapps..

all i want to say is ....

for me if i only use your stuf from the stock 2.1 > root> xrec > bussybox > your rom > ftf files > evrything is a OK accepts from the things you've named yourself

- no zoom

- no vissible turn on /of BE

- horrible market... (tryed a older version with black and blue transparent backscreen but it wont install :( )

so here my 2 cents

will wait and looking to r rom when it comes out ;)

but it is a bug for me. wenn i start the cam i get a error after some sec. and i thougt it is because i changed to 8 MP or turn the auto focus on.

YES both works - i just thougt it could be .

since im back at 6MP without Auto focus the cam works perfect!

i´m allright whit it if im the onlyone whit this prob!

Umm, i think people reported no issues with older version of market... Here new market FC's, so i guess thats what many of us experience, hence why Trip will go back to older market in the next update...

Any restore opens the door to possible force closes and lag, not always, but most times.

Miui home launcher uses a bunch of memory, more apps, more pages = more memory..... means more possible lag...

Try reducing the number of home screens, trying another launcher, adw, arc, launcher pro, ect..

Mobile data / internet does sumtimes disconnect in low service areas, toggle airplane mode to restart....

Some miui roms run a 32m start dalvik and a 64m run dalvik heap size just to combat the launcher lag / fc issues...

Also the spare parts app on the phone, set windows n transition speed to fast, much smoother... Even miui uses this app for this reason.....

Someone reports a bug and its their fault is it? Someone reports a function not working and they get yelled at, as if we shouldn't mention a function not working and just praise our God King Trip? Lots of bugs have been stated and the reciprocation is just "Who wants HW LEDs working?"

Yes because that's what we all want, not 6 half working things but 7 half working things.

I myself found the ROM performing slower than stock 2.3 but maybe I'm just using objectivity.

Respect where respect is due, Trip has skill but the need to feed people more and more (half working, half baked) features can try one's patience.

i fixed the max-brightness issue FINALLY ..... it was the (lights.es209ra.so ) in system\lib\hw\lights.es209ra.so .... replace this one with the one in cobrato's miui gb rom and it will work..... and if the screen turn completly black just slide the scroll in status bar ... (while it's black)

Sorry mates : the custom kernel i posted has a WIFI issue so don't use it .... thanx for telling me

edit 2 : lol it's not solved... it's just delayed .... Fix fail -,- sorry guys this is another mistake

Keep the phone idle for sometime........everything is fast and stable, make two or three calls and open 2-3 apps.... will make your phone slow....display will become irresponsive for few seconds on execution of any app and resume....... it doesnt lag.....it become slow....

Even phone needs to kept idle for few minutes after boot to get it stable unlike previous trip release....

Excellent ROM, thank you very much TRIP, you're rock!!!

One issue I've faced is that the video clips made by x10 running this ROM sound much more noisy than the ones made by official ROM.

Anybody have the same issue?
