Hey Trip i have been testing 1.2.4 and its awesome !

but here are the bugs i found hope this is a help :)

1: LED in camera dont work (works perfect in videocamera mode)

2: Wi-fi hotspot dont work

3: sms settings FC

4: App2SD dont work

EDIT 5: SMS app is complety badword up :P will try replacing with one from stock miui

if you fixed theese bugs rom would be complete :D

most probably you need to replace the mms.apk from miui gb 1.2.1

thanks, but unfortunatley sms stopped working already on 1.2.1, I'll give 1.3 a try

Great Work Trip, the 1.2.4 is brilliant:

At the moment all seams to be working apart from:

- SMS setting, gives FC ( is there a way to repair it ?? )

- many apps still can not be install (pocket legends, death worm, big time gangsta, really any app requiring sd access :/ )

- issue with screen going to max brightness is still present

- screen on/off animations don't work

- system update button gives FC (you could removed it as you did in ur Froyo ROM)

- MIUI camera FC constantly once switched to auto focus

- LED dont work in camera, but work just fine in video recoding mode

Thats all I could test at the moment, but will update in few hours when I will play with other setting as well.

Switched to 1.3 now SMS are working again. However the 1.2.4 Lockscreen was a lot nicer, anybody knows where to find the mtz?

We already know that 1.3 wifi dont work but work if use static ip right? What about 1.2.4? wifi work or not? Because now im using 1.2.4 and still connect to wifi but browser is useless.....Please everyone suggestion needed.. heheheh

U need to unzip the 1.2.4. and go to system>media>theme and there you have the .mtz files.

Another question, does downloading something from the market work for anybody under 1.3?

edit: it works with 3G, but not with Wifi, however browsing the market works with wifi.

Hi!

I wanted to inform you that on the 1.2.4 ROM does not work the function writing PUK code. I was forced to insert the card into another phone. Otherwise, I could not unlock the screen. Screen can be unlocked only in flight mode & secrecy

@erwinwijaya and anyone else with wireless network connection issues

In windows to get full network details click start button, run type cmd.

Then type ipconfig /all

All details should appear.

You could also just Google DNS servers and use one of them. Or use Google’s excellent tool Name Bench to find the fastest DNS for you area. It takes a while to run but does also help your broadband speed at source for all you computers if you put the DNS it finds directly into your routers settings. Therefore stopping you ISP giving you whatever crap DNS they have lying in some dusty cupboard thus speeding up your browsing. ;)

i have been trying all day to fix sms app in 1.2.4 deodexing, changing manifest all kind of s*** but the fix was simple ! :D download 1.2.1 extract mms.apk replace mms.apk in system/app with the one from 1.2.1 and fix permissions finally working :D i will make a flashable zip for everyone on 1.2.4

something wrong with microphone during video recording.... sound cracks and it sounds like it's set to theater mode...

i recoreded the below video ---> 1.2.4 , 720p (high 30m)

more cracking in the 2nd half of the video ...

hope it can be fixed.

anybody else having the same trouble , please tell here , so trip can confirm that it is present or not.... thanx ...
