There's a bug with the messaging app in 0.8.

Let's say, I have a number of my friend in Contacts; 0191234567. I send a message to him, then he replied, but when he replied, it uses the number +60191234567 (including country code).

The problem is, it does display the name correctly but it gets a different thread because of the different number, this is the second time I've experienced something like this (the other was on 0.7.5).

Definitely gonna have to try it without GV. I'm so used to having it, that I install it as one of the first things when I install a new ROM. Will give it a shot and see if skipping the GV causes my contacts to crash.

after i updated the sms& contacter from backup ( by synchronization tools)click sms or conatcter,then 1. sms-fc2. contacter-fc

meanwhile, cann't recover the picture of contacter;

Can someone tell me briefly the advantage of this rom to IRIS 1.73. I like that thread works perfectly for me. What capabilities would this add if any? Thanks. I like to try new things but except diff design not sure what else it does. thanks

Installed 0.8

No FC during call - Confirmed.

Rebooted couple of times - Still No FC - works Fine.

Brightness toggled from status bar - brightness goes to zero once and does not become normal again, until reboot.

I haven't installed any apps yet, nor restored any contacts or anything. I will report after restoring apps and data.

Edit 1 - Findings - The person you trying to call or recieve call is in your phonebook, then it will give you FC (but still it will get connected like normal call and will disconnect, only if you press force close) and if it is not in your phonebook - No FC during call.

When FC is pressed, network signal goes off and resumes back.

I only registered here, to explain this error, help to search bug...

So, when I install The Rom, make call, no fc.

When I sync google contacts, the phonebook open, but the contact pictures ignored. When I made call, FC. This is the same in SMS app.

After the Gsync, try to sync FaceBook, I choose "only existing contacts". I know, who is the first contact for me, who has got facebook accaunt. Then when enter the phonebook, and slide down, the first "facebook contact" doesnt show, because I got immediatly FC.

The sms app is immidiatly FC, because there is 3 facebook contact in the last messages.

So, I think the problem is the contact pictures.

Keep it up, and little patience for others. Maximum due respect:

Same here, after sync all contacts the call / receiving call FC...done re-flash few times...still having same problem..hang when reboot in xrecovery...

Are there more people here in love with the Sense Enhanced lockscreen?! I really want to use this ROM as daily, but I can't because my contacts FC! I think that the cause is Google Sync/Contact pictures?

Trip, it's really there! I will install ROM and try to tell you how I get it!

- This bug will be described in Dutch, Trip is Dutch so it won't be a problem. When calling someone go to > Meer > Geavanceerd > Tekst = Results a forceclose.

Now going to try sync with Google.

- Im synced with Google, contacts are imported. Now when opening phonebook I get a forceclose. I just installed the ROM, I only did the things I described above. Nothing installed, nothing removed. Also, when opening phone I get a FC. How can I post a logcat for you Trip?

These are also some more (known?) bugs:

- Before screen goes off, it gets to full brightness

- After reboot I've to change brightness again to what it was before I rebooted

- Phone becomes hot when charging on USB (I think USB causes it)

- Can't change led notifications at settings (FC)

- When rebooting my custom lockscreen dissapears and the standard TripNMIUI lockscreen comes back.

And that's what I've found. Also a suggestion from my side Trip, please add known bugs to your OP to prevent users from reporting them over and over...

Still FC when I try to call someone/recieve a call etc.

Also when scrolling through my contacts I pretty much all the time get "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly".

Hi Trip,

I found this rom to be quite good, stable, responsive and didn't crash often like previous ones. But it does FC the contacts app. I can install a third party app for it but when I want to do a call it FC, the call actually is established but the FC message stays.

I didn't try it so very much, but overall it works pretty stable. I went back to your miui froyo 1.7.0 which I love.

It's a really nice ROM. I just miss gTalk. The mail app should get mails with push, but mine doesn't (I've tried in your Froyo MiUI and it works there).

Anyway it's fast and smooth, and stable. Good work. Waiting for updates.

You should try to upload updates instead of full roms (for minor updates where just the system and some apps are modified) with data wipe.

Love this rom but i have been getting random problems with it, Get a force close type message or report when trying to access apps and certain parts in apps. I couldnt use Handcent it just closes down and also had a problem accessing facebook profile. Please update :-) Thanks Trip
