Hi I really like this ROM, fast etc. I don't want to complain but I also can't send a sms. Maybe anyone know why and solution? Big thx Trip, good work ;)

Trying to change wallpaper results in FC as well... I'm going to do a clean install and try again

Clean install from stock rom and still get the following results:

1. New Market FC

2. Can't send SMS

I'll use an alternative Gingerbread ROM until these are fixed or someone assists me in fixing them

It has a error report boy it's long lol I sent it LOL

Market Works fine for me

Gps now turns on and off

No devl setting to worry about LOL

can't talk to GPS software it don't here me . Software says it dont here me AT&T GPS software

PS At this time I have NOT tryed to fix permissons should I ? No it did not help Dam

Smoother faster..... nice!! No lag!! Calls work, sms no go... replaced sms / mms apk no joy.

not registering sms center number.. input sms # error no change.......

Market aok!! Looks cool!! Downloaded ok, rootexplorer ok, theme ok, redarkend, looks excellent w 5 point lock screen!!!

Dig the about phone!!! Tribute for Iris!!! Waaay cool!! Wish her the best from me n the family!!!

Trip awesome rom, really great and smooth.

The web experience with opera mini is perfect. Really smooth. I don't know what you did but thanks anyway.

- Wi-fi works

- GPS works

- Contacts works now...0.8 when scrooling causes FC.

- Receive Voip calls in 0.8 causes FC for me, now it's okay.

- Alarm works also the callendar

- 3G data ok

- New Market i've got only one FC when using the first time ( installed the google maps). After that no issues at all.

Issues:

-BT with imac not working. But really i don't care.

- Big issue: SMS doesn't work. Send or receive messages isn't possible. I only tested with the miui messages app and handcent.

Handcent SMS causes reboot if you try to send a message.

Trip could you change the animation when turning the screen off with power button. I like the original gingerbread Tv screen off animation.

Well done Trip. I really like this one.

There is few problem occur:

1) sent / receive SMS no go

2) Market FC

3) Proximity Sensor not working

Well one thing's for certain and its that SMS is NOT working on this Rom... I cant even set the SMS center # which might have fixed the issue but it gives an error... I have wiped and wiped and reinstall but I cant get SMS to work... could it be some lingering custom settings that are causing it?

I love the Rom... It's smooth and fast and VERY pretty.. but if I cannot send or receive text messages then I can't use it... and I'm sure a whole lot of people will not use it either...

I have the same problem too!

However if your desperate to change the wallpaper go to: Theme Manager-----Desktop

and change it there :D

Everything else in Trips Rom is sweet.....though my SMS doesn't work either....must revert to email

Heyy Guys, so it seems alot of you who have already installed the ROM is having sms issues....has anyone tried testing the ROM with different basebands to see if that might rectify the problem or is just scripts in the ROM itself?!

hey guys ok so far the bugs i can report are very mininal

bugs:-

proximity not working with stock or 360 kernel.

sms doesn't send with or without kernel.

market foreclose which ill look into the solution later from the guys here posted.

fixed:-

theme stays even after rebooting & tried "the simpsons" theme & amazing bootscreen sound also so guys try it if you want you'll be impressed..

other issue ive not come across but trip i gotta say man rock solid loving it & will wait for your next release of fixes but hats off/kudos and keep up the good work. you are one of the guys that knows what to fix or how to do so in no time & also you have kept your project alive which we love & also i can imagine gb release all the fixes done with camera and everything its my rom for life until phone change but im gonna do my best to get a htc sensation from here in toronto canada i know our sp (rogers) dont have it except "blackberries, xperiaz, samsung" anyways keep up the good work and all the best for you and Iris.

the new release looks amazing, except the bugs, if Trip say that is no bug if he knows about, then i think it's ok, anyway:

market FC after a few seconds, try to be very, very fast :D (no succes for me)

sms not sending

themes are working, phone generally working just 3 bugs, so i thing is very impresive.

Doesn´t work for me.

That´s what i´ve done:

• Saved the file at the sdcard.
• Backuped original market with titanium
• Uninstalled original market with titanium
• Moved new market to system/app with root explorer
• set permission with root explorer to
  [x] [ ] [ ]
  [x] [ ] [ ]
  
  • rebootet into recovery
  • fixed permissions
  • rebootet
  • done

That´s the way it worked for me at TripNRaVer´s Froyo MiUI.

EDIT: ChilliBo got the problem that the market doesn´t appear after he followed these steps.

If you got the same problem, then rename the app to Vending.apk and reboot the phone.

That worked for him. ;-)

FYI I just went through as stated and while setting permissions also renamed the file...as the one I uninstalled was called Vending.apk. It is working fine on .75

if you add new its good also old is good too. maybe what you can do is trip if it works just post the new market apk or zip on your first post. should people want it they'll d/l it and follow instructions given on posts here most of us know how to install anyways. once sms fixes all good. any word on proximity ?

when i use 0.75

all thing is work good

without music

and theme work fully, too (with font color change)

but 0.8 and 0.9 has some bug ..

Because they are rewrited form the beginning thats why :) It also makes them much more faster and smooth so it will take some time to fix "some bugs" :) Anyway I'm really glad and thankful to Trip cause he's still working on it :) I haven't tested 0.9 yet but I'm on 0.8 and its working great with launcher pro.

In old version I change brighter but after reboot the brighter back to low
