I am on BB 67 and feel that this rom is a master. I have only a few bugs to repport.

Miui taskkiller do not work correct for me, if i close down apps with the taskkiller they still stay active.

Something is wrong with the GPS it is after tou have used it always active, it wont close down.

Bugs:

GPS

Miui taskkiller

Some reboots

proximity sensor not working.

Other than that the rom is great.

Market OK

Browser ok

sms/mms ok

data ok

setting ok

everything is ok.

Will try it out with custom kernel now.

Great rom ... Awesome features ... but still unstable ... Specially when using custom kernel v3.6 ..but i can feel the improvments you did in 1.0 reborn

bugs i remember :-

- mic volume is too low ...

-i phone 4 lock hes a shifted time to left .

-no data connection .

-when leaving the phone without using for around an hour the phone start acting weird .

-miui music player lags sometimes .

-music lags while playing sometimes ...

-the rom is too slow without using custom kernel so we have to specify(customize) one of them.

Request : i wish you can add the turn off screen effect that cobrato uses it in his miui 2.3. or at least where can i get the flash zip file.

Any reason why it was removed in the 1st place? I tried to do a full reinstall and now I have no service... Only to realize that the Dev tool is missing!

Slow?? 1300 quad loaded?? If it lags either reboot it a couple of times, or did you restore any apps or Data???

Larger dalvik size will start off laggy at first, should smooth out pretty quick.

Other issues can be kernel speed related, overclock is for short periods only.... 998mhz setting for most of the time...

If you have to play w kernels, see Hiro's 363 in A1exanders thread..... last page he made two kernels just for Trip's miui roms....

Wipe cache and dalvik....

Mine is definatly not slow, far from it. Although the mic volume is too low. I thought half my customers had gone deaf, I ended up shouting down the phone instead. I can live with it for now cause the rest is pure quality.

- i restored apps only without any data ... and everything wiped before installing the rom.

-about the dalvik maybe you're right .... i used it for couple of hours then back to my 1.8 froyo backup... didn't wait to sattle .

- i'll try another kernels maybe it works ... thanx for the reply

maybe the problem related to the kernel .... about the mic all my friends told me that my voice looks like i'm talking far from the mobile .

no matter what I do, I cant get the new market to work on trip's Rom... I loaded Cobrato's Rom to see if I was doing something wrong and it worked perfect the 1st time...

I cant figure out why it works for some people and dont work for others?! And I've tried everything from wiping Dalvic te fixing permisions, etc.

Try going into app settings, market, uninstall update, open market n see if it works then??

Or move an old vending apk from another rom into your system apps, set permissions all across top, reboot and see??

Great ROM...

Bugs I found BB67:

Proximity sensor doesn't work.

Can't hang up on calls (or at least u have to touch END multiple times)

not compatible with Flashlight + LED app (kept rebooting after install of flashlight)

Other than that it worked perfectly fine!

New market

MIUI themes

wifi

bluetooth

video camera

photo camera (with camera illusion on lower resolution as stated on the post)

all google apps

netflix

Remove bootcomplete file from data partition and reboot phone, the phone will automaticly crash system server so you dont need dev-tools.

I can't use my head set (MW 600) to answer the incoming call (though the blue tooth device has paired with the phone and I can listen music by blue tooth head set). Does anyone have the same problem? Please help me on this problem. Thanks so much.

i'm using it, what i do is..

Connect MW600 media first( mp3 player), then you connect the call button by press and hold it to select device..

When in market start wifi( for me) and browse with no problem.

Strangest thing isthat it will work for two times after that and fc again.

I belive that this can be region related or cache related as it only fc with internet connection.

Do the test and tell your findings

I don't know why so many people seems to be having Market FC issues, so I'll state what I done exactly to get what i regard as a near perfect rom from Sir Trip!!!

I had Trips Froyo 1.7.3 with a custom kernel 3.60. With BB67 in the UK before flashing (which was also a cracking rom by the way)

-----> Copied Trips download onto my sd card.

-----> Done all backups just incase. Especially xrecovery backup because it does like ghost would do on a PC (complete image, kernel the lot)

-----> In xrecovery v0.3 (NOT v1.0) do a factory reset (full wipe), Wipe Cache Partition, move to Advanced Options then Wipe Dalvik Cache and Battery Stats. (some people with OCD do them all twice (like me))

-----> Then simply install custom zip and select Trips masterpiece.

I did exactly what you stated here but market still fc. Help!!!

Note that this overwrites any custom kernel so you don't need to worry about that having any effect on it.

Thia also has the very latest Market v3.0.27 built in (maybe its possible that it does work in some countries?)

I realise thats teaching most people to suck eggs but it hard to gauge what stage everyone is at, but we all had to start somewhere.

Also people having FC's could try using the Fix Permissions option in xrecovery, that sometimes helps.

Re-flash the Rom, and do these:

• Full Wipe.
• Partition Tools => Format /system
• Partition Tools => Format /data
• Partition Tools => Format cache
• Advanced Options => Wipe Delvik Cache
• Advanced Options => Wipe Battery Stats

paired nokia bh-503, works fine. but, there seems to be a delay in the play/pause, back/forward button functions when i press it. delay ranges from 10-20 seconds, sometimes its ok. anyone experienced this too?
