QDL Tool Not Recognising Streak: wrong device name

OK, so I bricked my Streak, how embarassing especially after I got StreakMod Recovery to work. I was flashing the basebands in prep for StreakDroid 1.90, and did fastboot -i 0x413c flash amss amss.mbn then fastboot -i 0x413c flash dsp dsp1.mbn. I suspect the second command was wrong.

I finally found a copy of QDLtool.exe, and had to set up a Windows XP box to run it (I'm a Linux guy). The problem is that when I plug the Streak in via USB, with the Vol Up key held down, XP sees it as a "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" in Device Manager. But QDLtool is expecting to see "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9002". Thus QLDtool fails to recognise the Streak and won't fix the amss.

Has anybody seen this before and knows what I'm doing wrong, or is my Streak hopelessly bricked? Thanks, Warren

Edit: Thank goodness for the web, I found what I needed to fix the problem here.
