Guest ZTE
Hi folk's, I see there are 2 alternative Kernels for Swedish Spring RLS5. Would somebody please explain what the advantages are of each one? Also, how do you install them? Is it just a zip update with Clockwork or is there more to it? Thanks for any help. Cheers :D

Guest unrandomsam
They are stock kernels. from the latest comviq rom (That SS is based on) and the latest softbank rom (That is based ironically on SS RLS3 itself) but with sofbank changing some things. I believe there are some hardware revisions (b20 ?) that we don't have working source for one driver at least. If you have that hardware at the moment the only way to use it would be to use a stock kernel. There is no source for either. (ZTE says its the same but it cannot be). Guest ZTE
Thanks for the reply, unrandomsam. If you wanted to try them, how do you do it? And is it worth it? I was interested in getting rid of the lag on Angry Birds. I have an early OLED Gen1 San Fran. Cheers :D
Guest Jetba
You flash them through CWM. In some blades they improve performance a bit.
