Guest BejhanJ Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I have a small technical question: you can minimize an app running (such as a to do list or shopping list) to open another app (calculator), so you can resume from the system tray without losing any data? ( sorry for my english... it's google translate! :D ) however good work guys!!! I think you can just hit the home button and the current application will just be put the to the background. Then you can open the application from the application drawer and it be brought to the foreground (retaining the data).
Guest renzs Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Unless you run out of memory.. at which android will kill background programs.... i think.. :D ~renzs
Guest Stangoesagain Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 By default you can call the recent apps by long pressing the Home button, and memory can be increased by creating a swap partition on your SD card and tweaking V6 scrips in Liquid Parts, there's a wiki entry on how to do that on ROM's home page, the link is in the first post in this thread. Can anyone recommend Display tweaks to save battery? There's Display entry in Settings, Sensitivity section in Liquid Parts, and a lot more in CM settings, too. Where can I at least read what each of those does? Now that I've seen the screenshot I believe my display eats double of what it ideally should.
Guest zorginho Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 is an issue of the power monitor, the battery life is not too bad compared to the stock rom.
Guest Liqushi Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 The battery drain depends by the usage of the terminal. I've always lamented a high battery drain with mobile data connection and luquidnext Dev admit they've found this issue. But they're waiting for org.kernel come back to solve this. Apart this issue the battery drain is good. For example today I've unplugged the phone at 9 aM and i used wifi for 20 minutes then i didn't use abymore. At 9pm the battery was at 80% (more or less i don't exactly remember the value) and with an animated wallpaper! yes, if you use the phone for a entire day the battery seems to be insufficient but in standby it's very good. I want to report a problem about swap. I've a 512mb swap partition in SD and in app2sd I've set it as on. But everytime i reboot the phone the apps says that swap isn't active .. why? Sent from my Liquid using Tapatalk
Guest gangsrta Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I tried the battery app 2x its working though in the background. Still no major difference at all its like the battery percentage goes off in front on my very eyes! Just doing normal web browsing took my battery from 75 to 71 in less than 15 minutes. What could be wrong here fellas? Am too much concerned... My Liquid's a three months old.. it is from Rogers. So no battery issues i suppose... It charges and fires up normally on stock rom although its exactly the opposite on LN Let's see if that can be fixed in the next release
Guest Dima KN Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) For now I have 3 problems. 1. Today I had "screen wont wake up" problem again. (After I didn't answered the incoming call) 2. And option Disable bottoms led stops working after reboot, also it is checked in LNP. 3. If I turn on music player without head phones. Music is played via speaker. I turn off speaker sound with volume buttons, but still I hear some quite noise from speaker. After closing player noise disappears. Of course all of it for 1.8. Guest Stangoesagain Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) this morning Display drain on the battery was unprecedented, even though overall the battery held the charge pretty well. I charged the phone in the evening, unplugged it and went to sleep. For the second night in the row after the charge the phone just died and I missed the alarm. This screenshot was taken after reboot, which requires battery pullout after such "sudden death". Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the performance, until the next charge, that is. Could this be caused by tweaking V6? I used "Bulletproof Launcher" instead of "Hard to kill", and I also bumped swapiness to 70, otherwise it's a newly wiped and reflashed Rom, only two days old. Bottom Led, btw, does not work after reflash at all, without me touching anything in Liquid Parts settings. Edited September 23, 2011 by Stangoesagain
Guest erfanzest Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Hi guys. I have a problem with the games. are unplayable because they go in spurts. can you help me?
Guest kelu85 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Somewhere in cm7 settings I cant Found it! Where is it?
Guest Stangoesagain Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) I'm afraid you are out of luck. Generally speaking, apps themselves decide what hardware buttons they respond to, not the other way around. Unless ADW Launcher attaches itself to Search button there's nothing you can do. As a user you can only choose the default in case there are several possible choices. I guess it's possible to dupe the OS into thinking that hardware Home should act as hardware Search but would require ROM customisation, I don't think anyone offers GUI tools for this but I have been wrong before. Guest Stangoesagain Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 You want hardware Search button work as if it was hardware Home, because your Home is not working properly, right? In that case you need customizations to your kernel or run an app that would do it for you manually. I guess it could be a simple script that runs on startup but my point is that it still should be custom made.

Guest Stangoesagain Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Or maybe approach it another way - Android has a system app that reacts to "long press home" and shows a list or recent apps. What if you found the way to force that app to react to "long press search" instead? Or what if there was a separate app to do that so you could put it on homescreen and just hit an icon? If you had an access to that Android app source and could recompile it, the button switch itself should be easy.
Guest kelu85 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 i'm unable to recompile... but if anyone can recompile it, please help me! :)
