Guest devilishone Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Indeed flashing 1.9.2 on a clean ROM helped, now the home button works properly again! Argh but again I forgot to make a Nandroid backup of the clean ROM so I don't need to connect my phone to the PC next time I do an upgrade! :( Oh well, at least it works now. :) Edit: Crap, market seems to crash within seconds every time I load it up. :( Check your language settings in the system, if your language is different to the country you are in, market crashes, at least that's what was happening to me and how I fixed mine
Guest kelu85 Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Set apps and data on sd-ext with sdman?

Guest zlexy Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Hey I just came here to say thank you for the awesome work! Like others the only issue I had was with the marketplace crashing due to the keyboard language. This is the best rom I've ever used.
Guest Ludercrs Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) I just installed this using Malez and after the reboot i get the Acer screen, then the Blue Android and "LiquidNext" text, then it goes to a White screen with a big Blue "N" with arrows in them that says LiquidNext and is animated. that screen just repeats over and over and over..... i can't get into my phone, i can't even shut it down i have to pull the battery to turn it off. should i try re-flashing? is there maybe a step i might have missed? previous install was a rooted Froyo 2.2 rom, unsure which one though. Guest Mecallie Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Hi folks, I am (or was) having trouble installing this update. When it downloads the rom (via LiquidNext) it never seems to write it successfully to the SD card. I have tried downloading it as the next update, as the version number and as "update" with an automatic install. It simply does not work. I can also see a LiquidNext file on my SD card with root explorer that is 0KB in size, I cannot remove this file... I have now installed MIUI, hoping I could then restore to LN 1.9.2, but no luck. On top of that I now get an error message everytime I boot into Malez Recovery stating that it could not find the update file. It looks as if it is still looking for the update.zip that LN never put there. Can you folks help me get rid of the error message? My phone takes a long time to boot now, I think it waits for the update to time out... Also, some help with removing the 0KB file so I can install LiquidNext again would be nice, I still love this rom :D If you need more info please ask. Thanks in advance!
Guest renzs Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) @ludercrs @mecallie sometimes the easiest way is the most basic way.. unless you're doing this every day/ week.. :P my suggestion is to reflash with the EMEA bin (see my sig), install malez recovery, wipe 1 by 1 and flash LN. If you had done titanium backup of your apps before this, even better. just dont restore system apps or system settings from google account. @mecallie you can delete the 0kb file by plugging your sdcard into a card reader on your laptop or pc. hope this helps ~renzs Edited October 19, 2011 by renzs
Guest Ludercrs Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 @renz Thanks but apparently i just needed to wipe everything. that's the step i missed. re-flashed after that and all is good.
Guest Liqushi Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 i wanna to know how to soloved music player lag ? anyone can help this, pls ? Yes. Please fix it Sent from my Liquid using Tapatalk
Guest siggey Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Do you use undervolt Kernel? Yess @ 921 smartassv2

Yeah I had forgotten to switch my language before, it does seem to work better now that I set it to the right language. Thanks for the tip! :)
Guest kenship Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 I need some guidance. I have been using stock 2.2 fido ROM, I have heard ppl saying to use this ROM it's better to flash a EMEA bin before, is that right? Also, I've been using Link2SD, which transfer the library, app and dalvik cache to ext2, how would I do it in this ROM? is it SDman? Ken
Guest Stangoesagain Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 You can flash over any Rom, won't make any difference , just don't forget to wipe everything, don't forget NOT to restore system settings either via Google account or Titanium Backup and don't set language to English US. Personally I skip signing into my Google account after I made sure the Rom works, language is set, wifi works, apps that came with the Rom work etc. Then, after reboot, I sign into Google and deal with "LNP missing" warning because that will take you to the market. I ignore the offer to download bunch of Google stuff, it's on my backup anyway, just get LNP and set SDman, there are nice checkboxes there for moving apps and data to ext2. Unfortunately moving Davlik is not there. SDman will restart the phone a couple of times, after that I played with CM Settings - OC and governor settings, undervolted kernel, lock Home in memory etc. Restarted again to make sure everything works perfectly. Only after that I restored my apps with Titanium and started using Market. Most of the FC and Market problems above are due to jumping into Google, apps and market a bit too soon.

I have tried reïnstalling Malez, but still the error is there. And I see your sig, but where do I dowload these roms? EDIT: Never mind, found it (or at least almost same version). I made a backup via nandroid by the way, works like a charm but LiquidNext crashes, so I cannot download the rom with that. Stuck on MIUI again :) Edited October 20, 2011 by Mecallie
Guest foreman Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Yess @ 921 smartassv2 I think that 921 is the overclock settings, and smartassv2 is CPU governor. What is the advantage using smartassv2 instead of ondemand? The overclock is necessary to have a speedy phone? What about battery drain and overclock? In particular, what is the difference about the performance and battery drain whith this 2 configuration? 1. no oc, no unvervolt kernel, cpu governor on demand (default LiquidNext configuration) 2. oc 921 Mhz, unvervolt kernel, smartassv2 (your configuration) Thanks.

Overclock is necessary only if you use high end games (like the gameloft's experia games ;) ). I don't know the differences between governors, but after some trying I found the one I like. My battery, oc'ed, normal use, last one day. On last ln version last 30 percent minus.
Guest Winston Ma Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Does anyone have lagging issue with1.9.2? I wiped everything, installed LN 1.9.2, used sdman (apps+data), UV kernel running @ 128-1190 on demand. And I am having lagging issue. I never had lagging issue before 1.9.1. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks Edited October 20, 2011 by Winston Ma

Guest ManniX.ita Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 If you have lag or freezes: - remove Facebook app - use 245MHz as lowest clock - uncheck Undervolt kernel option in LNP

Even after re-installing Malez recovery. Any help on how to completely re-install is appreciated. I do not know how to flash a rom without Malez and reïnstalling malez does not seem to help. Can I delete a file somewhere that is telling it to update???? Also: can I download LN 1.9.2 somewhere besides LNP? I cannot download it on my phone because it keeps crashing, and I cannot find it here? Edited October 20, 2011 by Mecallie
