Guest Mecallie Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 format your sdcard, so, nandroid + ext baxkup, save all media from sd fat, format with same size of partition, e re put your media on sd fat... then restore nandroid backup... you can us option usb mass storage toogle from recovery. GOT IT! Thanks for your reply, I managed it using a different method. I wiped all, formated SD/EXT/SWAP/ downloaded LN 1.9.2, renamed that to update.zip, put that on the new ext4 partition and rebooted in recovery. After the reboot, everything went like clockwork: install went flawless and (as I hoped) it removed the "update" problem for me. Happy again on LN now, it was time to format my card anyway, to much junk on there :)
Guest Stangoesagain Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Quick question - Aren't we advised to use ext2, not ext4? There were some warnings earlier that ext4 might not work as expected. Edited October 21, 2011 by Stangoesagain
Guest Mecallie Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Quick question - Aren't we advised to use ext2, not ext4? There were some warnings earlier that ext4 might not work as expected. I think that's true. But I was so glad I got it working again, I thought what the heck :) If I get strange errors I can simply convert back to ext2/3 . I'll let you guys know if it works ok (it does so far, but only my navigation software on there now).
Guest daveit86 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Hi guys! I'm following this rom from liquidnext 1.5 and i want to thank you for your hard work. 1.9.2 for me works perfectly, i couldn't find anything wrong. My CPU frequency range is 128-921 MHZ and i'm using smartassv2 governor: the phone is stable and smooth. The only problem I had with LN 1.8 was the battery drain (30-40% during night) but now is very low (less than 1% for h). I hope to see soon LN + ICS, Thank you for everything!
Guest Winston Ma Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I tried following your way but lags and freezes continues. Would disabling SDMan fix this? If you have lag or freezes: - remove Facebook app - use 245MHz as lowest clock - uncheck Undervolt kernel option in LNP

Guest Stangoesagain Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Thanks, that makes sense. Does ext4 perform better in Android general use? It's supposed to be faster on Linux but I think most of ext4 features are not utilized by Android.
Guest ManniX.ita Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I tried following your way but lags and freezes continues. Would disabling SDMan fix this? I think not, I use it with swap partition too... do you choose to restore Google account backup data at first start? I did it first time and had lot of problems...
Guest Waspinator Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 what's stopping this from becoming part of CM? is there a plan to move this project into CM?
Guest Winston Ma Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I tried to install LN 1.9.2 again with full wipe and ext partition fix (in recovery) before installing. Now the lagging issue is gone. Thanks I think not, I use it with swap partition too... do you choose to restore Google account backup data at first start? I did it first time and had lot of problems...
Guest devoluti0n Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Can I use titanium backup to restore my apps and their data ? How can I do if I can't use it please ? Plus, is there a good way to setup it for the A1 ? Edited October 21, 2011 by devoluti0n
Guest Stangoesagain Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 That's exactly how you restore your apps - with Titanium Backup, the only thing you should not do is "Restore All System Data" or "Restore Apps and System Data", do not restore system data, it might make your phone misbehave. Optimal A1 settings with this Rom were given a few posts earlier, maybe on the previous page. Basically they are the same as for Liquid E but you probably want to add Swap.
Guest freshair Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Hi there. I have just upgrade my phone from offical 2.2 rom to LN 1.9.1 and it's really really great. Almost everything is perfect for me except the phone dial. I want everytime I dial a number, the name will automatically appear or if I want to search for a contact, I just have to tab on the first letter on the dial pad. For ex: My friend name is Andy, so when I want to call him, i just go to phone, open dial pad and tap 2(ABC) - 6(MNO) - 3 (DEF) - 9 (WXYZ). This function is so familiar but I don't know why it's not active in my fone. So is there anyway to active it? Please guide me about this issue. Many Thanks!

Guest cvsbook Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Hello. I just trying to use OpenVPN on this ROM. And is it possible to get tun.ko and unionfs.ko modules for this kernel? I have't found it nowhere..
Guest freshair Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Use dialer one, free on market. Many thanks but is there anyway to deal with current dial? I love this interface and want everything to be like uniform.
Guest kenship Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 It seems mine cannot remember the network, everytime I shut off my phone and start again, I lost the registration information for the carrier, any idea?
Guest usju Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Many thanks but is there anyway to deal with current dial? I love this interface and want everything to be like uniform. Sorry pal, stock dialer does not have that feature. almost all third party dialers have it though.
Guest McLoy2008 Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Hello, I'm having problems with notification leds. When I miss a call, both sms and lost call led blink. When I receive a sms none of them blink. Is there a way to solve this problem? Anyway the rom is truly amazing! Thank you all!

Guest gonzales1979 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 After a long call, the phone display is black and does not wake up. It was on 1.8, 1.9.1 and 1.9.2. Full wipe and no undervolt kernel. Android 2.2 worked correctly.
Guest shea83 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) I've the same issue when i make a call (even after the first ring). Sometimes the the phone display turns black and does not wake up but the call continues without problems (at the end of the call i have to remove and replace the battery). I do not use the undervolt kernel. After a long call, the phone display is black and does not wake up. It was on 1.8, 1.9.1 and 1.9.2. Full wipe and no undervolt kernel. Android 2.2 worked correctly.
