hmm.

i use google map navigation and my gps icon stays after gps deactivation.

its not a real problem, but wierd.

i am a total noob (first smartphone, 2 weeks old, first flashed rom)

if i can provide you with any kind of useful log for this, please send me a "how to"

i am using a liquid e and i have the tablet tweak "bar on bottom" active. everything else is standard settings or at least nothing extraordinary or suspicious i did to the phone.

but i am sure im not the only one with this glitch. for the post you answered with "i dont understand you" sounded a lot like this glitch.

is there a good tool to calibrate the compass? mine doesnt work correct since i flashed the rom. please try your compass and turn the phone around. does north stay in the same direction when you turn the phone in a complete circle? my north stays in the north for only a fourth of a circle, then it turns with the phone and begins to jump around. tested with several comp using apps.

Ok first day with this rom. Battery drain without usage is ok. With usage its normal drain like any other tested GB Rom ( not the best, not the worst :-) ). Speed is very good, by far the best imo. With other Roms i have a connection problem while traveling with train through several GSM cells. Today i drove 2 times and had no problem so far :-).

Ty very fuch for this Rom! I'm looking forward for next updates :-)

Google Latitude tracks your location in the background, so that could be the reason for GPS active after exiting Google Maps. Try logging out of the Latitude feature and see.

Launched powertop from device and I seemsm_i2c makes 127.5 wakeups in 15 secs (47.5%). This is caused by interrupt.

do you use softkey notification?

I have the GPS stays on after Google Navigation as well. I can allways switch off the icon by re-entering Navigator and pressing back (exit). The GPS icon then disappears. Strange. It has nothing to do with Latitude (I am not logged in to Latitude).

i2c are touchscreen and softkeys. are you sure your screen is off when you had run powertop? maybe you have softkey blink enabled to notify sms.. try disabling it

tnx the pasto, here my log http://pastebin.com/p04FPefK

32.6% ( 37.7) ndroid.systemui : hrtimer_start_range_ns (hrtimer_wakeup)

maybe you have % battery enabled in top bar.. try disabling it. if not and your phone is charging (battery < 100%) this should be normal..

i have disabled many program at startup and i have removed liquid settings, becouse it starts every time.....but..the sensor is related to LS ? when i have removed LS the p-sens is not reactive

a great way to find the high drain problem

-plug your device to a pc,

-turn off the screen (short press power button)

-adb remount

-adb shell

-powertop -d (*on windows with stupid prompt run powertop -d > powertop_log.txt)

-copy whole output on pastebin

-paste here pastebin link

Thanks tongue.gif

After running this command I'm prompted with some suggestions on how to improve some stuff. Has anyone seen the same thing and tried the suggestions ?

Suggestion: increase the VM dirty writeback time from 5.00 to 15 seconds with:

echo 1500 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs

This wakes the disk up less frequently for background VM activity

Suggestion: Enable the CONFIG_HPET_TIMER kernel configuration option.

Without HPET support the kernel needs to wake up every 20 milliseconds for

some housekeeping tasks.

Suggestion: Enable the CONFIG_ACPI_BATTERY kernel configuration option.

This option is required to get power estimages from PowerTOP

this one should be enabled but i didn't see relevant changes in battery drain..

Suggestion: Enable the CONFIG_HPET_TIMER kernel configuration option.

our kernel doesn't support hpet timer

Suggestion: Enable the CONFIG_ACPI_BATTERY kernel configuration option.

This option is required to get power estimages from PowerTOP

our platform is not acpi supported

By the way, can anyone recommend proper video player with support for different formats and codecs? I used RockPlayer, but it does not work on CM...
