hi all, i'm using this rom since a couple of days and i'm very happy with it. i'm having only one trouble...sometimes the screen gets crazy like if i was tapping in the upper part of the touchscreen even if i'm doing nothing..

this happen randomly many times after i wake up the phone from standby, but sometimes completely randomly during normal use.

i have to push power button once to make the phone go in standby and then on again and the screen starts to work normally...

anyone had this problem?

Can you please tell me which one is better?

the rom in this thread or the "Cyanogenmod 6.1.1 v 2.2 [FULL HW!!] " ??

would like to know what you guys think :)

the cm6.1.1 is the better froyo rom everything is really really smooth and everithing is fully working.

the rom of that thread is the better ginger rom, everithing works fine except camcorder that is crappy.

just try the 2 roms and make your choice.

i have the same problem with phantom touches. never had phantom touchscreen activity until latest version.

and the display is a batterysucker now.after playing some tower defencegame, the display used 75 percent of batterypower.

overall heating seems to be a bit higher in latest build as well.seems to heat up when screen is on, even when not connected to powerline.

anyone else feeling that his liquid gets warmer now?

idk about the phamtom touches since im not having that issue... but yeah, screen will always show over 75% on bat stats and the rom is draining more battery generally.. all we can do is wait for thepasto who said would make it better on next release (; apart of the battery drain everything works PERFECT! at least for me ^ ^

that is a hard question each of the custom roms have pros and cons i have tried them all (i have no life and flash the phone about five times a day lol).

I think the only answer here is to try them all and find which one works for you i also use a program called my phone explorer which lets you save all the apk files for installing later and all my contacts are on gmail so it loads them automatically

Decrease your sensitivity and noise values this is an old problem.. Not related to this rom.. Maybe it's a moultitouch screen patch issue. We know we have a power problem.. Please wait we'll find how to solve that..

Thanks

SUXSEM & THEPASTO!

Hello!

Since I've begun use Android 2.2 (any roms) and now 2.3 my phone periodically shuts down (2.2 is a base rom for this 2.3 rom now). When I answering incoming call or when I try to call somebody my phone shuts down. At some forums I found a solution to use only 2G instead of automatic mode. But this method does not solve this problem. I guess this shutdowns are directly linked to radio module because they happens more often in bad signal zones.

And here is my question: is it possible to fix this problem in this versions of 2.3 rom? Or the problems of base (2.2) rom is not your problem and could not be solved by your team?

I think these problem could be solved by yourself.. Wipe all and flash 1.2 rom. Don't use google sync and titanium to restore your settings. Be sure you have only LiquidNext Parts installed and updated (v 1.6).. liquid-setting hasn't to be installed anymore.

Try that and let me know :)

Thanks

Have been on LiquidNext 1.2.1 for a few days now so here's my 2c. This rom is very fast n smooth, as far as i can recall the fastest/smoothest ive ever had on the liquid (a1 btw). I have to make a special mention on 2D graphics speed, its simply amazing. Its quite extraordinary that a (more than) 2 years old phone can still get better, i thought it had reached its limits with kang cm7 (which was a great rom btw) but i was wrong. on an3dbench i used to get 5400 at best while now easily top 5900 points. Google Earth performance is incredible, graphics are much smoother and they render much faster. The stutter and 'hick-ups' i was getting by scrolling thru the apps in market are now gone, i actually hadnt seen that so smooth since the eclair days. I also notice that battery life is more than ok. I used the phone till it shut down (no battery), charged it throughout the night while switched off, booted on recovery and wiped battery stats. Ive had 18% loss in almost 8 hours, with a few phone calls, always on 3G/HSPA which is about 2.5%/hour. A few bugs/issues ive noticed. Got that slight delay when waking the phone up (1.5-2 sec) which is not that bad, but slightly annoying. Changing orientation is at times really slow, but its something that i need to examine more in the long term. Since i rewiped/flashed/wiped/etc for the 2nd time and went straight to 1.2-1.2.1 i had no dropped calls due to reboots (which happened a few times the 1st time i flashed this rom). Not much more i can say, i am very happy with this rom. Congratulations to the developers and to all that helped test it.

PS Im on 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1, OC@921MHz, optimum RAM settings on a2sd, fixed display brightness. Widgets: BobClock3D, AtomaRSS, Android Agenda Widget, Plume widget, small weatherbug widget NONE of these on automatic update (except the clock of course)

Peace

thanks. but how do i increase the sensitivity setting? your help description tells me that lower value means higher sensitivity, but i am kind of sure that its the other way round!?

i changed my sens value from 50 to 45 and my phantom touches seem to disappear.

but what exactly is the noise value? i never changed it because i dont know what it does.

Thank you for replying, but I've done all this actions when installed 1.2 rom. And I do not use Titanium for the restore. I never restore system settings through any app. I still guess this is a radio module bug.

Sorry i made a mistake :) Degrease sensitivity and noise means put high values B) Default acer values are 75/75.. Atm my values are 25sensitivity 75noise

Someone with this configuration can have crazy touches, so if you get that it's better set sensitivity to a lower value.. Hope this time i was clear :D Not so easy for me explain something in english :D

If you are right, everybody will get that but i don't.. Never had reboot or strange power off.. If that happens again please send me (via pastebin) /data/apanic_console content ;)

Thanks

Kang used other drivers for sensors.. Can you sand me (via pastebin) logcat and dmesg of your boot process?

- power off your phone

- launch adb logcat > logcat.txt

- when your boot is finished (when your home load is completed stop logcat)

- run adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt

- send me both files

Thanks ;)

Okay, I'll do this! Thank you. But for information: is it normal that my /data/dontpanic/ direstory is empty? Or directory will contain files after force shutdown?
