big trouble on the horizon!

You crazy!

The phone is people's property and once it's paid for it's there's to do whatever with.

Mind you, most here got it on Pay as You Go so there is not risk of a 'broken contract' fee.

I gave them no personal details or stuff like that, all you do is buy a simcard. It's your choice how you use it, atm its in a cupboard

i heared orange is checking all SF users.they are reviewing all contracts.

sure you can do whatever on the phone, but not on the contract. you can by exemple, paint your blade, or ad a sticker, or change programs, but ypu can NOT unsimlock it and use another sim card.

big trouble on the horizon!

please continues with these claims, this is actually entertaining me

This thread is effing hilarious! only someone as sad as apple would really even begin to do this ;) (track people, legal action or whatever)

And I don't even know what ******* contract we are on about :D - even so they can have fun find us all!

A copy of the contract please, Swisstourist? :D (I assume its if you bought the phone on contract)

This thread should NEVER die :P

when i bought mine, they ask for an ID, i gave my passport, and the lady told me it' s blocked for 2 years.

now all of you, i bet you didn't say" I want a SF so I can unlock it and root it once I am back home, I dont care of your prepaid minutes of crap, all I want is a cheap android hardware"

dont be a bunch of hypocrytes, we broke the contracte just to get a cheap SF. then what will happen? next phone will be more expensive thanks to your cheap charly' attitude.

GUILTY !!!!

(yeah I will check my contract and post it on line)

You're through to the mental health helpline. Please choose from the following options:

Press 1 if you suffer from anxiety.

Press 2 if you are depressed.

Press 3 if you are bipolar.

The paranoid and neurotic do not need to choose an option ... we know where you live.

Oh you are so screwed, you're going too the loony bin, then jail, then purgatory where the orange bosses are going to dominate you with call time minutes till you no longer want to talk at all.

What I don't get is I think just about everyone who has the San Francisco got it on PAYG. This means no one ever signed a contract so we can't break it. Orange would get the same money from the phone no matter what

Orange gave me my PUK code to take to virgin, £5 a month for 100 minutes and unlimited texts, so they don't care.

WHY THE F*** DID YOU GIVE THEM YOUR PASSPORT AND ID, FOOL!

seriuosly only the most retarded person would do that. None of us gave them those details and none of use signed any contract. Theefore we can't break it if it's non-existent.

But carry on, this is the best thing going today

When i googled apparently Orange did sell it on contract by who would contract a £100 phone when orange would charge you £10pm and possibly even a fee for the phone and force you for a 18/24 month contract.

While what actually happened since we all bought phones and unlocked em is that Orange dropped the price by a bunch of cash

Sorry fella, you're in the minority here with your fears of trouble down the tracks from Orange on this score

You buy the phone PAYG - it's yours to do with as you will

You buy it on contract, then you'd be a little bit soft not to use it on Orange as you're paying for monthly credit from them

But alas, swisstourist, I have bigger badder news for not just this community, nor all users of sanfranciscos, not even all android users, smartphone users BUT ALL MOBILE USERS...

FONEZ GIVZ U BRANE CANCERZ!!!

I read it on the internets, so it must be true

Struggling to reconcile this with other reports that

FONEZ DON'T GIVZ U BRANE CANCERZ!!!

Any advice swisstourist? This one's really troubling me...

I must never answer a call again incase it kills meh brain cellz

That's right, I didn't. Because I bought it online so there was nothing to say other than enter my details to pay and get it delivered.

Not much. And I think you mean 'cheap and cheerful' attitude. Guilty of what? The phone is our property we can do what we like to it.

Please do. But get some sleep first please.

Meanwhile at OP's house

policeraid.jpg

It isn't illegal in Britain no contract was signed, and I am guessing it isn't illegal in the rest of the EU even if a contract was signed because of consumer rights and all that shnazz.

heh, when i've signed contract, i've promised that for next two years i'll be paying monthly.

What i'll do with my phone is only mine buisness and orange can't do anything unless i stop paying.

I can root it, can sell it, can even smash it into wall
