Guest 75markus
Tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953182 when you plan to install some custom firmware afterwards, there´s no need to root before. all custom ROM´s are rooted anyway just install CWM recovery & apply custom firmware afterwards ... Guest JackDSParker
the superoneclick looks way to complicated for me XD I heard that if you do something wrong you can brick your phone, id rather that not happen as i am a complete NOOB when it comes to rooting customs roms etc.
Guest o2mike
Don't worry, it's called "super one click" for a reason - it really is very simple. Rooting with this method is safe on this device. Only Problem you could run into is when you use Windows 7 x64 - you need another LG Driver then, which is found in a link in the thread, too. When you don't have the proper driver, adb will not connect properly with your device. You practically can't brick the O2X because even if you screwed it up, you always could reflash it with NVFlash. EDIT It's easy as that: Install LG driver Open SuperOneClick 1.7 Select psneuter Hit root Check Superuser app Edited June 17, 2011 by o2mike
Guest JackDSParker
Ive been trying to use it now for 2hours XD ive downloaded some drivers and i am using Windows 7 32bit When i try and "ROOT" ADB comes up and just stays there after the 3rd time... Guest arronov
instead of superoneclick, i successfuly rooted my o2x with gingerbreak v1.20, and after that, i did updated superuser (from market) and su (update it from superuser menu) too... no problem so far :)
