Oops wrong thread.

I'm still on V2 and am having issues with downloading in the market, lots of updates being very slow or refusing to download at first. Once they finally do download, I frequently get "Installation Error - insufficient storage available" despite having plenty space both internally and on the SDcard. I tried installing the GEN2 market fix (I'm on v3 of the GEN2 update rather than the more recent v7, my phone was originally a GEN1 2.1). Any ideas how to fix this?

Also, I'm still having a proximity sensor issue. I have worked out though, it only happens in bright light, particularly sunshine.

I propose that you back up everything and do a TPT of the latest wbaw gen 2, then install V4

Psyloid, how to enable saving contacts on SIM card in buit-in dialer?

Thanks. Do you know if I can just do the upgrade as I did in the first place even though I'm already on GEN2? I thought I read something that said it wasn't that straightforward. I've asked in the GEN2 upgrade thread, but no response as of yet.

in UOT kitchen, on the first tab select your battery style , then right before the last one, upload the file you have in your phone...then on the last tab, press enter after checking it s all ok ( all green), and you will receive a new file to zip in clockmod after 10 minutes to save on your pc and zip in ur phone, and bingo u will see a new battery indicator.

look on my profile, i post already the link somewhere about how to use UOT kitchen. took me 30 minutes to understand, so for u it will take 5 minutes cuz i m not einstein!.

Is what a "bug or what"!? All I see is a dumb video of someone demonstrating how arse about with the unlock and mute swipes :-/

Use widget locker. There, problem solved. Now you can even hire pacman to be your unlocker

Thanks for the rom. Work perfectly for me, especially the bluetooth with car kit. In green v5 it will disconnect as soon as screen went off and I need to use wake lock, in this rom this will work without wakelock.

I need help with rooting. I've installed Blue Ginger but when I go on Battery Calibration and Titanium Backup it says that my phone isn't rooted. Anyway I can root my phone again to make these apps work?

When is the new release coming (based on wbaw GSF b12)?

I notice a few people reporting that Blue Ginger doesn't work for them. Well I'm one of those people. :(

I performed the Gen1-to-Gen2 TPT flash with the integrated GSF b12 rom, this worked fine and boots into GSF. Then I used Clockworkmod to do a full wipe and install Blue Ginger V4. All I get is a looping splash screen; the graphic spins, stops, the screen goes black and then it goes back to the spinning graphic again, this just repeats endlessly. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been running this rom on my OLED blade for the last couple of days, upgraded from SS7, and I'm absolutely loving it! I have a couple of other blades that run CM7, ginger stir, etc., but this is by far the fastest and smoothest rom I've used. Battery life is also great.

Thanks!

I am using this rom since last week. Now I noticed one problem, while making the call the screen goes blank and cannot disconnect the call. Previously in other rom, when I moved from the ear, screen will come back and i can end, now screen is not displaying. I had this problem in some cynogen mod, but was not having this problem in green v5. The screen will come back, if call got disconnected. Anybody knows how I can solve this issue. This rom is good and I need to keep this. Thanks!

Yeah, I've had the same issue. Maybe psyloid can fix it when he gets back from his vacation.

reload your file, may be corrupt....

Just a thought.

I have been using V2 of this ROM with no problems, I thought I'd update to the latest version. I tried the ZTE dialer version, to see if I preferred it.

I got constant errors after it booted, constant FC's. After trying the usual re-boots etc with no improvement I tried reflashing it, once again clearing all caches and formatting system, same problem. I could not find an MD5 for the ZTE dialler version and can only assume the file had a problem. I downloaded the other version of V5 and verified the MD5, flashed it and zero problems. Not only does it appear to work perfectly but I swear its faster and smoother than V2 :)

If anyone has a link to the MD5 of the ZTE dialler version of V5, or could generate an MD5 from a known working copy I would like to check the file, just out of curiosity, I did search the forum and couldn't find it., that might just be my age though :)

I suppose the point here is that without an MD5 we have no way of knowing whether any problems we have are just from a corrupt download or something else. Anyone else having problems with this ROM should at least be sure that they aren't trying to flash a corrupt download.

I actually made the ZTE Dialer version, I tested it for an hour or so and it seemed fine. Apologies to hear of your issues, it sounds like a bad download or something odd.

Here's an MD5 for V4: 24bbf94d6498358425134921d0b95f91

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like a complaint :) We would have nothing if it wasn't for the work you guys put in. I also seem to have kept referring to V5, sorry I meant V4 as you obviously guessed, some days age really does get the better of me :) (not that old really just feel it most of the time)

I just checked my file using the MD5 you sent and the codes match, so it wasn't the file. If I can help you with any further details just let me know.

I didn't do a full wipe but I did do: cache, dalvic and format system, I was previously on V2 with no problems. After the problem with the ZTE dialler version I tried V3.1, while I was waiting for V4 to download, also with no problems and then V4 which was OK, I'm sorry to tell you that it was only the ZTE dialer version that gave the problem. This is also the only ZTE dialler version of this ROM I have tried. The problems happened as soon as I unlocked the screen after booting. Lookout, tasker and other autorun stuff could be seen in the notification area and all seemed fine until I unlocked the screen.

I am absolutely aware that all this is a learning process and that stuff can misbehave, all part of the fun :) So really no need to apologise for anything. Perhaps the sequence of events as shown above may throw some light on the matter for you.

No worries, it didn't sound like a complaint.

Anyway, I think the issue is the lack of a data wipe. Did V3.1 use the normal Android dialer? If so, there's some conflicting contact data which causes the force closes.

3.1 did use the normal android dialler, that has to be the problem, I really didn't feel like doing a data wipe at the time :)

It does sound like exactly what you are saying. At least I know now not to try it again without a full wipe :)

I have just installed this ROM, after coming from the CM7 "Green", and I'm having a few problems. Whenever I try and do anything on the phone, I get the error message: "The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly." I have tried downloading ROM Manager so I can re-install the ROM, but I just get the same message over and over again. Please help : (
