Guest minifig Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 (edited) you must download the speech data on your sdcard. goto settings/voice input & output/text to speech settings/download voice data Well, I can't apparently: it's greyed out. Strange though, it was working fine on V4. I remember downloading something then as well to make it work. Should I try uninstalling Pico TTS with titanium backup and reinstall? Guest alpsp Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 I'm not able to unlock Launcher Pro! has anybody manged to unlock it? I tried un-installing it with launcher pro and reinstall. But it fails. EDIT: tried again with titanium and it works. I've tried install LPP which I had working fine on stir fry but it just doesn't get recognised. No error message, the market says it's installed but LP doesn't see it. Unfortunately I haven't got a titanium backup to try so I'm stuck! Any ideas? I've tried installing/restarting/rebooting everything several times but no luck :-(
Guest XpressAndy Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Sorry if off topic: I had joined many of my facebook contacts and google contacts manually as they did not have the same name on google and facebook. But whenever I install a new ROM, these contacts are separated again. I have to merge them manually again. Does anyone have solution to this?

I've tried installing/restarting/rebooting everything several times but no luck :-( These are the steps i followed. 1. Install a free launcher from market (e.g. Go Launcher Ex) 2. Uninstall Launcher pro using titanium backup pro (you may use other free utilities to unistall launcher pro as it's a system app) 3. Reboot (coz installation was failing) 4. Install launcher pro from market 5. Install launcher pro unlocker if it's not already installed. Edited July 29, 2011 by XpressAndy

Guest Psyloid Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 there is something wrong with GPS. It shows fix after 2 seconds where in gps status are no satellites, accuracy=0 and sygic thinks that i am 500km in other place... GPS STATUS shows time to first fix =2s and still searching for satellites....its not ok... It's because agps is enabled by default, but if you don't have mobile data it cannot retrieve your location and will place you probably in skipton UK. GPS needs a few minutes to get a fix from sattelites and eventually after a few minutes it will show your correct location. If it really annoys you, you have to disable agps in gps.conf, but for us who do use mobile data it's very handy to get a fix in 2seconds
Guest Peter H Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 if you wanna get rid of that : download any other temporary launcher, then remove lp with titanium backup. now install lp again from market, install lp unlocker. then remove temporary launcher. that should work Thanks, very helpful. Thanks also for all the generous work and help you give on the forum to us all.
Guest alpsp Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Woohoo! Thanks Psyloid and Xpressandy, blonde moment over and LPP is working a treat Fantastic ROM
Guest skeewiff Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 yo can replace settings.apk in system/app with one from gsf but you will loose the coloured settings menu as well Many thanks psyloid you´re very kind like always

And for example theft aware gives me only first position, when he find fix he does not wait long for accuracy and he sends me bad locations from first fix....which are few hundreds km from where i am.

After reboot. I know with this execute bit is stupid but without it it doesnt worked for me, i have no idea why.
