I know. That's a bit of an issue with this ROM (a couple other apps do the same).

It's possible Psyloid didn't finish this properly and would have fixed it in v6.

Anyway... simply remove Gmail application and download the latest one from the Market.

Simple.

Granted, you will lose Psyloid's gmail icon in that case and will be replaced with the stock google one, but I personally didn't mind.

One more thing... the ES File Explorer is also quite old. I recommend removing it and replacing it with the newest version from the market.

Sounds can also go (it will also remove the Videos app which constantly crashes upon exiting the video). I installed Winamp and MX Video Player (both of which I find better - well, the MX video player is quite superior as it offers HW acceleration, plus it's the best out there if I'm not mistaken).

It's because he customised those apps & resigned them. His custom gmail icon is the reason that you can't update it, because the file signature no longer matches the Android Market version. DSPManager is probably what causes the force closes with the stock music app.

@Loki86: Yes, that's all that Psyloid did to break it (he claimed it was some kind of fix).

You could just use a rom that Psyloid didn't break & avoid these problems.

I'm on o2 payandgo and seem to be having a problem sending or receiving mms messages on this rom, i can send and receive text. Does anyone else on o2 have this problem?

EDIT: it seems i need to turn my data on for it to work, on jj9 rom im sure it would turn data on itself to send it.

i think your rom v5 is close to perfection

so i want to thank psyloid and wbaw for their work, they are great rom maker, why don't you try cooperate to achieve the perfect rom?

i think that make rom is for the comunity not for personal glory...yes if "i make a great rom by myself i take notoriety", but really?!!! if you do that you are worse than children

this is not a criticism but a suggestion

i would urge you and WBAW to keep the excellent work in developing the new custom roms.

as said by others V5 is very close to being perfect. some minor issues in proximity some more stuff to be streamlined etc. thats it.

Why should we? You paid ZTE for your phone & the software on it, via whoever distributes them in your country. If it doesn't work well enough on the stock rom then you should complain to ZTE, Orange, Dell or whoever rebranded your ZTE phone.

CM7 is the only serious rom worth contributing to for the Blade. Anything else is a waste of time.
