I want to buy a galaxy s from my friend, but phone have has two issues: First issue:After he turn on phone it takes atleast 5 seconds to turn on screen and than we can unlock phone. second issue:When he wants to end the call he can't because screen seems to be turned off. If it is software related, a recalibration or flashing a new rom would solved. If it is hardware problem, it means the phone needs to be repair. There are some apps in the market (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mtorres.phonetester) that could help you to detect these problems. GPS faulty, bad speaker, broken button,...maybe...bu I would not buy a phone that does not turn on the screen: no screen - no phone :) Good luck! So before buying it try to know the pros and cons. Your second problem is related to the hardware and not software, so dont buy the galaxy S from your friend. hard issues can only be replaced at the customer service centers.
